Jeff Mills Metropolis Metropolis - 3 x 12"LP Soundtrack
just released on Axis Records 107.

Axis Alert > "Metropolis Metropolis". The meaning of the title: The double word title refers to a deeper, wider and more expansive experience. Not as a continuation of the first soundtrack of Fritz Lang's film Metropolis (1927) by Jeff Mills made back in 2001, this soundtrack acts more in unison with the first. In other words, this is the soundtrack we couldn't hear in 2001 because the World was a different place, we were different people.

The Electronic Music soundtrack feels more symphonic than an album of separate tracks. Each of the six (6) long and extended segments consist of various compositions written for the film. A project of 5 years in the making, Metropolis Metropolis debuts this Friday, March 3rd, 2023.
