gsub raises anchor with the European project "PortAbility" ⚓

By 2028, the project will be dedicated to establishing centers of vocational excellence. Specifically, it aims to effectively train or reskill port personnel to better address the changing requirements and structural changes in the sector, collaborating with the Port of Hamburg.

gsub is leading the German cluster and will establish the "Innovation & Governance Hub" – a center for knowledge transfer, collaboration, and visibility. gsub contributes its expertise in employment, social inclusion, and local development to support knowledge exchange and the development of innovative education and labor market strategies for the transformation of port cities in Italy, Spain, Cyprus, and Greece.

Wrapping Up the Jobs4All Project!

We’re thrilled to share the highlights of the final event for the Jobs4All project, where we focused on enhancing employability skills for young people with disabilities through Virtual Reality (VR) simulations and tailored learning modules.

During the project, we engaged students, apprentices, and job seekers, empowering them to confidently transition from school to the workforce. In collaboration with coaches, teachers, and organizations across Portugal, Poland, Greece, and Cyprus, we developed tools and insights to support real-world needs.

Our final event celebrated the project's achievements, featuring presentations on the results and discussions on innovative ways move forward.

Thank you to everyone involved in making Jobs4All a success! Together, we're building a more inclusive future.

On October 17th, 2024, the final transnational partner meeting of the Jobs4All project took place in Athens, Greece. During this meeting, the project’s current status was reviewed, and the final tasks were completed. This marks a significant milestone in our journey to improve the skills and competencies of Job Coaches, trainers, and educators who work with young people with disabilities (YPwDs). The project has provided innovative methodologies to enhance training programs for this group.

In addition to the final meeting, the International Multiplier Event for the Jobs4All project was held on October 16th at the Demokritos National Research Centre, where the project's impact and resources were shared with stakeholders and participants from across Europe.

Exciting news from the NEARVET project! The Applied Research Seminars are happening across 6 partner countries to raise awareness and validate the concepts and Digital Training Modules. The 15 key skills have been defined, and we're now in the process of building the Digital Modules to strengthen these competencies.

Next up: the Italian event in Milan on October 23rd! VET training experts, business representatives, schools, and mentors will gather to discuss the training needed for creating exceptional experiences in education and becoming excellent Applied Researchers in the VET sector.

Italian partners and stakeholders, this is your chance to contribute, but everyone is welcome! Stay tuned for more project results.
