WHAT: We exhibit art in unused spaces on Berlin’s U-Bahn platforms—for people who otherwise would not likely see it. WHY: We intend to spark an impulse in passerbys—to affect their physical path of movement, their routine, their thought process. People are impressionable when approached through their senses and art has the unique ability to shape an experience through engagement. Showing art there
could end up having collective results affecting people and society
WHO: As a social experiment in itself, PLATFORM collaborates with artists that are interested in experimentation. WHEN: All day and all night. Encounters between PLATFORM and people are spontaneous and unexpected and site-specific. Check our website for openings of new installations. WHERE: The location of current installations are indicated on our website. Installations are temporary and mobile, moving around Berlin’s U-Bahn stations in order to engage with Berlin’s different communities, Kieze and individuals.
