On May 9, 2026, we officially opened the IBC HAB Berlin.

What started as a small Croatian German founder vision became an evening filled with meaningful conversations, international founders, investors, advisors, and people who believe business can be built differently.

The HAB is rooted in a multi generational expat founder story that began with Jakob Schreckeis, who believed in creating opportunity, connection, and support for people building new lives and businesses in Germany.

Today, that vision continues through International Business Coaching and the next generation of founders building bridges between Germany, Croatia, and the wider European entrepreneurial ecosystem.

We believe entrepreneurship needs a healthier roadmap.
Not only pressure, speed, and growth.
But also resilience, trust, wellbeing, and long term thinking.

German efficiency with a Mediterranean soul.

Our long term vision reaches beyond Berlin through future Mediterranean spaces in Croatia inspired by the Kairos philosophy, where founders, investors, and innovators can reconnect, think clearly, and build sustainable businesses in healthier environments.

Once a business is registered, these costs do not wait for inspiration, market validation or the next good month. They arrive every month, quietly and reliably. This choice is structural. Not cosmetic. Some professions qualify as freelance. Others require a registered business. Choosing wrong will not destroy your idea. But it may create unnecessary paperwork later 🙂

Berlin constantly brings together people with very different experiences and perspectives. The cultural evening at the Croatian Embassy dedicated to International Women’s Day and women in literature was a reminder of how important strong communities are.

Author Sonja Breljak, who also lives and works in Berlin, presented her book “Pisma Danici – Zapisi iz Berlina”. Writing allows ideas, experiences and perspectives to move beyond private conversations and become part of a wider dialogue.

For us at IBC it was also a moment to connect with the Croatian community in Berlin, of which we are proud to be a part. Communities grow when people contribute their ideas, their work and their voice.
At IBC we believe strong ideas deserve space and support.

Conversations like these are part of what keeps communities and cities alive. 🤝

Registering a business in Germany can take about 20 minutes. The consequences last much longer. Once you enter the system, monthly payments can start and future payments often follow what you projected. If you do not know your real monthly baseline, you are not launching a business. You are launching pressure 💸
