The World Administrators Alliance is a non-profit trade association, representing Administrative Professional Associations, Networks, and Industry stakeholders across the globe. Our aims are to guide, influence, develop and elevate the administrative profession and to build a global community to enable administrative professionals the world over to speak with one voice. Now held every two years, i
t brings together the best and brightest minds in the profession today. The delegates from each country discuss topics of importance to all administrative professionals and develop credible outcomes that are shared around the world, including the groundbreaking Global Skills Matrix, launched in September 2021. First held in 1992, with the United States of America as host, has been held every two to four years in 8 countries. The 10th WA-Summit, in 2018 was held in Frankfurt Germany. The 11th WA-Summit in 2020 and the 12th WA-Summit in 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, were virtual. The 13th WA-Summit in 2024 will be held in New Zealand, once again in person. In 2006, The Australian Institute of Office Professionals (AIOP) recommended to the Delegates present, and they agreed, that our new World Action Plan be called Administra to honour all Administrative Professionals. The outcomes from each Summit contribute to Administra. The World Administrators Alliance (WA-A) is the governing body approved by the 2020 delegation.
