What a great opportunity for new cooperation! Given my strong and emotional ties with the region, I want to apply!

Funding is open to a wide range of topics and addresses application-oriented research questions of mutual interest - especially in the thematic areas of the German government's (Health and Care, Sustainability, Climate Protection and Energy, Mobility, Urban and Rural Areas, Security, Economy and Labour 4.0) and in the thematic priorities of the EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation. If there is a corresponding application reference, topics in the humanities and social sciences (keyword "social innovation") are also eligible for funding.

Final Selection Interviews of candidates will be conducted in Belgrade (20./21.10.) and Skopje (22./23.10.). We are looking forward to meeting the candidates in person and are expecting interesting and inspiring conversations.

Local alumni are very welcome to meet up for an informal reunion.

The preselection procedures for the Fellowship Programme 2013/2014 of the EFB are finished. We are looking forward to meeting the 40 selected candidates for the interviews in Belgrade and Skopje beginning of November. Bernd-Friedrich Voigt will again be a member of the selection board.

TRAIN Module 4 has connected a very promising generation of researchers from different faculties of Belgrade University.

The training of Communication and Presentation Skills given by Hanna Mamzer and Bernd-Friedrich Voigt provided a two-day intensive insight with theoretical as well as practical emphasis on the professional interaction with diverse audiences. The evaluations once again underline participants' extremly positive reactions to interactive excercises and supportive coaching.

The second day of TRAIN module on "Communication and Presentation Skills" concluded with very positive evaluations from both, participants and trainers.

The university of Podgorica has been a wonderfully caring, yet professional host.

Participants from various faculties have gained new and enlarged competences through a combination of expert lectures, professional coaching and interactive excercises.

The next host for this module will be the University of Belgrade from Oct 2nd-Oct 3rd. We are already looking forward to meeting a new and exciting group of young professionals from the academic field.

First day of TRAIN module on "Communication and Presentation Skills" went by on the fly:

Young academic professionals from Montenegro engaged in an exciting exchange of top level knowledge and expertise with two trainers from Poland and Germany, Hanna Mamzer and Bernd-Friedrich Voigt.

The training is taylor-made to support academic carreers for upcoming researchers from the Western Balkans.

After preparing for higher level presentations and expert statements today, tomorrow's second part will address professional appearance, rhetorics and (inter-)cultural specifics of communication in international academics.

Bernd-Friedrich Voigt als Dozent für die FOM. Auch in diesem Semester findet wieder ein Modul "Kommunikation, Präsentation, Moderation" für die Studierenden in Siegen statt. In der Auftaktveranstaltung am 28.09. konnten die Teilnehmer bereits zahlreiche Tipps und Tricks für professionelle Reden und Präsentationen kennenlernen und in Intensivübungen trainieren.
