Leading North American Sporting Goods Brand is Searching for a European Independent Contractor

As a market segment leader, this American based hockey company is searching for an exceptional candidate to join their team. After continually growing their business year over year in the USA and Canada, their focus has now turned to Europe and to build a strong infrastructure to support their sales activities. A key component to this infrastructure is an independent Customer & Technical Service Representative.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Communicating with consumers from all over Europe and assisting them in both general product and technical questions via phone, email, and instant messaging and at times simultaneously.
• Documenting in detail all interactions with the consumer in a CRM (Customer Relation Management) system, so it is available to various divisions of the company for review and/or follow up.
• Key point of contact for organizing product repairs with both the consumer and the repair depot.
• During call downtime, interaction with new potential customers via phone, email and instant messaging based on provided contact data.
• As a home office-based position, the successful candidate will require full attention and availability during normal business hours (09:00-17:00).
• Various sales & marketing duties as required.
• As this position evolves new opportunities and responsibilities may become available.
Requirements
• Exceptional spoken and written German and English skills; additional languages are a plus.
• A confident, outgoing, attentive, and a positive attitude is a must while interacting with customers and representing the brand.
• Has an understanding and interest to learn basic electro-mechanical technical principals.
• Strong MS Office and overall computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and/or software.
• Experience working with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
• Works well within a Team environment but equally as well unsupervised.
• A multitasker that can prioritize and manage their time effectively.
• An understanding and interest in the sport of hockey is a plus but not required.
• Experience in sporting goods is a plus, but not a required.
• The willingness and ability to travel from time to time for training, sales related events and problem solving with our repair depot.
• Ideally the candidate would be located within a 30km radius of Straubing, Bayern.

Please note that this is an Independent Contractor position, and the successful candidate will not be an employee of the company or have access to paid benefits. The successful candidate will need to have or register their own “Freelance” company with a valid tax number to facilitate receiving payment from the company and paying for their own taxes/social responsibilities as well as health/other insurances.
