A little press spotlight on some of this year’s new openings! 🎢

Kirmes & Park R***e recently featured three new ZIERER - Amusement Rides Manufacturer attractions that we were proud to see open in 2026:

🇬🇧 Bluey the Ride – Here Come the Grannies! at Alton Towers
🇳🇱 Kikker8baan at Duinrell
🇳🇱 Duinrell Drifter at Duinrell

Three very different attractions, each bringing something new to the guest experience — from a highly themed family coaster to a new generation of a much-loved Duinrell classic and an interactive ride that puts guests in control.

Seeing these projects featured in the industry press is a great recognition of the work, creativity and collaboration behind each opening. We are proud to have been part of their journey and to see them now welcoming guests in the parks.

Jeroen Nijpels spent a great day at Tomorrowland last week together with colleagues from the attractions and entertainment industry.

Beyond the music and the incredible production, it was a chance to exchange ideas and brainstorm how the worlds of theme parks and festivals can inspire each other. From guest experience and storytelling to technology, operations, security, food & beverages and immersive entertainment, there’s so much these industries can learn from one another.

The future of entertainment is built through collaboration, creativity, and sharing ideas across industries. And of course, to have some fun together every now and then as well!

Last week, IAAPA EMEA organized a special event for the Young Professionals in our industry. JNELC has always been committed to this very important membership group, as our Managing Director, Jeroen Nijpels, was the original founder of it. We therefore decided to sponsor this event. Unfortunately, Jeroen couldn’t be there himself, but he welcomed the attendees through a video message at the start of the event.

Especially rewarding was seeing Jeroen’s mentee of this year, Armando Cocchiara, among the attendees. The IAAPA Mentoring Program is one of those highly regarded services that came out of the Young Professionals group itself, and Jeroen has been a mentor to at least one mentee every year for the past six years. Armando will hopefully make his mark on the future of this industry! 💫

Another IAAPA Expo Asia has come to the end.

From insightful discussions on the show floor to a wonderful and famous annual JNELC Asian Reception with industry friends and partners, Hong Kong provided the perfect setting for meaningful connections and new ideas.

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us during the week. We look forward to seeing you again at IAAPA Expo Europe in London this September.
