“When approached us in 2017 to develop a new chainstay idea which was more “grind friendly” we happily accepted the challenge. Instead of just making the tube thicker (and heavier) or welding a extra plate onto the outside of the chainstay like the early 2000s, we went back to the drawing board and developed an extruded offset-thickness custom drawn stay with more material on the outside and underside where it’s more prone to grind damage. This solution allows the frame to be much more resilient and resistant to grind damage without a huge increase in weight. This chainstay solution naturally evolved into Felix’s signature frame and is one of the many features that make our signature frames truly signature and unique to every rider on on the team.

The very first items - incl. the long-awaited MGV fork - are on their way and due to arrive within next few weeks! Especially as the first production batch of our MGV fork is limited we’d recommend to contact any of our wholesalers (either or SEIDO) to know where to reserve one locally. Landing date will be within next 3-6 weeks (depending on the terretory), lots are reserved already, so don’t sleep. Back in 2008 when the original bar dropped it was seen as “ridiculously big” at a towering (at the time) 8.7” tall.

Fast forward almost 15 years later and the Mad Max Bar has got taller and taller and now stands again as the tallest bar on the market at 11” tall.
