“Kin Khao Mai” (Eat New Rice) is an annual festival celebrated by many mountain people to mark the harvest of new rice and various crops grown by them.

This year the Akha Village at Doi Tung held the festival on 9 Nov 2024 where all community came together to celebrate at the local church, followed by gift giving and a communal lunch with the new rice being served.
