Today’s matinee featured two insightful conversations: Dr. Daniel Zamani (Museum Frieder Burda) joined Isabel Apiarius-Hanstein to discuss the work of Yosh*tomo Nara, exploring themes of individuality, resistance, memory and the strong emotional power of reduction in his paintings.

Prof. Henrik Hanstein then spoke with Dr. Marion Bornscheuer (MMK Passau) about Wilhelm Lehmbruck’s Frauenbüste (Büste Frau L.). A masterpiece that embodies some of the most progressive sculptural ideas of its time and marks a significant moment in the artist’s oeuvre.
