Welcome to Lightnet, Henri!

With Henri Garbers, our team welcomes a new colleague from Cologne.

After working independently and spending time at Sattler, Henri brings extensive experience in working closely with architects and engineers. Going forward, he will represent Lightnet in southern North Rhine-Westphalia, taking over the responsibilities of Mr Hoffmann. With Mr Hoffmann remaining at Lightnet until November, there will be plenty of time for a smooth handover and for Henri to get to know our customers and partners personally.

Outside of architecture, lighting and projects, Henri brings his international experience to the table, turning impressions from around the world into culinary dishes - a hobby he takes as seriously as his lighting concepts.

Am Eiskeller Primary School in Altenberge demonstrates how existing buildings can be transformed into a contemporary place for learning and interaction. Parts of the former Ludgeri Secondary School were refurbished and restructured, with new buildings added to the existing architecture. farwick + grote Architekten bring old and new together to create a unified school campus.

Generous windows bring plenty of daylight into the building. Wood defines ceilings, walls and structural elements, lending the bright interiors a warm atmosphere. Acoustic ceiling structures become design elements in their own right. Classrooms, open communal areas and circulation zones create a variety of spatial settings for everyday school life.

The lighting concept by Klein & Lohmann GmbH and E-Projekt GmbH responds to this architectural diversity. Matric G3, A3 and R3 create clear linear structures that integrate into the different ceiling designs. In the generous communal areas in particular, the interplay between the luminaires and rhythmically arranged acoustic elements creates a distinctive ceiling landscape. Elsewhere, the linear luminaires follow the exposed timber structure, continuing its geometry through light.

Our Cubic luminaires complement the concept in the circulation areas. Their square form provides a geometric counterpoint to the linear Matric variants while integrating naturally into the restrained architecture.

The light changes with the spaces without losing its visual language. Sometimes a long line, sometimes compact and square. A lighting concept that does not compete with the architecture, but thinks along with it.

High above Berlin’s Ku’damm, d-fine’s office combines panoramic views with a workplace designed for different ways of working. Located on the eighth floor of the glass high-rise at Kranzler Eck, the 650-square-metre space was conceived and realised by Berlin-based workspace design studio UP.GREAT.

The idea was to create a multispace office with a character of its own one that reflects Berlin while providing room for concentration, communication, collaboration and retreat. Inspired by the structure and changing colours of a quartz crystal, the interior translates this concept into a distinctive interplay of geometry, transparency and colour.

Open workspaces flow into areas for spontaneous meetings, team sessions and focused work. Modular elements structure the triangular floor plan without compromising its openness, while glazed meeting rooms maintain visual connections throughout the space. At the heart of the office, a lounge and cafeteria create a more informal setting for conversation, breaks and encounters away from the desk.
Colour gives the workplace its unmistakable identity. Blue is joined by bold pink tones, while colour-changing surfaces interact with the daylight moving around the glazed building throughout the day. The result is an interior that continually reveals new perspectives and moods.

The lighting concept responds to these different spatial characters. In the open work areas, Matric SX and SY floor luminaires with integrated multisensors provide light directly where people work. Their clear, understated design blends naturally into the open architecture, while the integrated sensor technology supports responsive lighting within the workplace.

In the more intimate and secluded areas, the atmosphere shifts. Here, Beam Me Up S4 luminaires with golden reflectors introduce a warmer visual accent. Their soft presence complements the more relaxed character of these spaces and creates a deliberate contrast to the functional clarity of the open work areas.

Different spaces. Different ways of working. And light that changes with them.

The result is a workplace that combines flexibility and functionality with colour, atmosphere and places to retreat – an office with its own unmistakable Berlin character.

Every surface collection tells a different story.
Wood Collection: A Story of Natural Comfort.

Workspaces are looking less and less like traditional offices. Materials from the world of home interiors are finding their way in. And wood clearly has no intention of leaving. It brings warmth, grain and texture to an environment long designed for function alone.

With our Wood Collection, the luminaire becomes part of this material language. Real wood veneers reveal the grain, whilst decorative foils add a tactile texture. Light wood, warm oak, dark finishes. Scandinavian ease or deep elegance. Wood seems to have made itself at home.

The DuoDomi showroom in Nurenberg views the workplace as a place for interaction, creativity and well-being. With decades of experience in office and contract furnishing, DuoDomi creates holistic working environments, in which architecture, interior design and corporate culture interact seamlessly.

Its own showroom brings this philosophy to life and showcases modern working environments in all their diversity.

Natural materials, homely surfaces and biophilic design elements define the atmosphere of the space. Open communication areas, meeting zones and quiet retreats blend harmoniously, creating an environment that is both inspiring and functional.

The lighting concept developed by Lichtagentur Würzburg makes a significant contribution to this. For the implementation in its own showroom, DuoDomi opted for lighting solutions from Lightnet a sign of a shared understanding of quality, design and forward-looking work environments.

The Ringo Star Cluster P3 with integrated Moss Inset creates striking design accents above the communication areas whilst simultaneously improving the room acoustics. In addition, Basic A1 provides calm and balanced general lighting for visual clarity and enhances the architectural impact of the overall concept.

For almost eight decades, NWB has been one of Germany's leading publishers of specialist information for tax, accounting and business professionals. The refurbishment of its headquarters in Herne reflects the company's continued evolution, transforming a historic publishing house into a contemporary workplace that supports collaboration, focused work and everyday interaction while preserving the character of the existing architecture.

Designed by LEPEL & LEPEL, the new interior carefully balances openness with privacy, creating a workplace inspired by residential design principles. Historic arched windows and the building's original proportions remain defining architectural features, while glazed meeting rooms introduce transparency and strengthen visual connections throughout the office. Warm timber surfaces, restrained colours and acoustically effective materials create a calm and welcoming atmosphere that supports a wide variety of working styles. Rather than imposing a new identity on the building, the design builds upon its existing qualities, creating spaces that feel both contemporary and enduring.

The lighting concept, developed by arens faulhaber lichtplanung, follows the same architectural philosophy as the interior design. Rather than becoming a visual focal point, it provides comfortable illumination with a deliberately understated presence. Our Basic S4 floor luminaires contribute to the residential character of the workplace through their soft, circular form and refined appearance. Their rounded geometry introduces a gentle visual contrast to the linear architecture, complementing the warm material palette while creating balanced direct and indirect illumination at every workstation. The result is uniform lighting conditions for screen-based work that allow daylight, materials and spatial proportions to shape the character of the interior.

As freestanding luminaires, Lightnet´s Basic S4 also support the flexibility required by modern workplaces. Workstations can be reorganised without modifications to the building, allowing the lighting to adapt naturally as organisational needs evolve. Their slim geometry and reduced design language integrate quietly into the architecture, contributing to the overall composition without competing for attention.

The result is a workplace where historic architecture and contemporary office design exist in harmony. A residential atmosphere, carefully considered materiality and balanced illumination come together to create spaces that support wellbeing, orientation and everyday work. Light becomes an integral part of the spatial concept, remaining quietly in the background while enhancing the overall experience of the workplace.

Every surface collection tells a different story.

Satin Collection: A Story of Living Light.

Light is never static. Its appearance changes with every angle and every shift in light. A satin surface does more than reflect light. It reveals that movement.

Our Satin Collection emerged from this interplay of light and surface. A two-stage finishing process creates its fine satin surface, resulting in soft reflections and pronounced colour depth.

With its soft reflections and tactile appearance, the Satin Collection creates a dialogue between light, material and architecture.

Peloton is one of the world's leading connected fitness and wellness companies, combining premium fitness equipment with digital training experiences and a global community of millions of members. This focus on movement, wellbeing and connection is also reflected in the design of its workplace in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Designed to support collaboration, focused work and informal exchange, the office combines open workspaces with meeting rooms and communal areas. Warm materials, carefully selected colours and a welcoming architectural language create an environment that encourages interaction while providing comfortable places to work.

The lighting concept is based on different versions of the Beam Me Up luminaire family. Throughout the open office and circulation areas, pendant luminaires with white housings and gold reflectors provide comfortable ambient lighting while introducing warmth and depth to the ceiling landscape. The metallic reflector adds a subtle visual accent and contributes to the calm, cohesive character of the interior.

Above the conference table and the communal kitchen island, bespoke Beam Me Up pendant luminaires with black exteriors and gold interiors become distinctive architectural features. Their two-tone finish gives these gathering spaces a clear identity, naturally drawing attention to the places where colleagues meet, exchange ideas and connect. Rather than serving as decorative elements alone, the luminaires reinforce the spatial hierarchy and strengthen the character of the shared areas.

With its characteristic conical form, Beam Me Up reinterprets the familiar pendant luminaire through a refined, contemporary design language. The consistent use of the luminaire family, together with project-specific finishes, creates visual continuity across the workplace while responding to the individual character of each space. Here, bespoke colours are more than a design detail. They become an integral part of the architecture, supporting orientation, atmosphere and a cohesive spatial identity.

A modern corporate campus has been built on the grounds of Berlin's historic Postbahnhof, bridging the past and the future. Where rail mail services once defined the area, some 25,000 square metres of office and commercial space now provide the setting for contemporary working environments. The design deliberately draws on the site’s industrial history and reinterprets it. Exposed concrete, open ceilings and technical installations reference the historic fabric, creating a clear architectural language with a strong character.

The listed elements of the former railway site, including the historic railway viaduct and the water tower, are preserved as defining features of the ensemble. The new building is not intended as a deliberate contrast, but as a contemporary complement to the historic architecture. The result is a working environment that preserves the character of the site whilst meeting the requirements of modern office spaces.

This concept is also reflected in the interior. Open-plan workspaces, meeting areas and communal spaces flow seamlessly into one another. Lighting plays a structuring role here. It provides orientation within the open-plan layouts, supports different uses and blends naturally into the architectural design.

Linear Matric pendant luminaires from Lightnet are used for general lighting. Their clean geometry blends harmoniously into the open ceiling structure and ensures uniform, glare-free illumination of the workspaces. Above the curved reception desk, the Matric was custom-made. It follows the shape of the counter and thus becomes a natural part of the architecture.

The Lucille table luminaire from Lightnet provide targeted colour accents. For this project, they were custom-made in a vibrant yellow. Within the understated material palette of exposed concrete, black and wood, they deliberately define work areas and support the spatial zoning. At the same time, yellow symbolises light, optimism and openness. The colour has a stimulating effect, promotes concentration and creativity, and gives the workspaces their own distinct identity.

The interplay between linear general lighting and individually placed colour accents creates a working environment that combines orientation, function and atmosphere. In this way, light becomes an integral part of the architecture and supports the idea of a modern campus that translates the historic character of the site into a new world of work.
