Barcelona calling — and the future of photography along with it.
Art Photo Bcn 2026 highlights how diverse and narrative-driven the medium has become. Excited that Katerina Belkina will be part of it, represented by Galerie Z22.

Art Photo Bcn 2026 propone una reflexión sobre la fotografía contemporánea como territorio poroso. 8 - 10 de mayo Disseny Hub Barcelona.

It’s her birthday — and what a journey it has been.

From Samara to Berlin, from dreams of space to building entire worlds through a lens — this is the beautifully absurd, fiercely true evolution of Katerina Belkina.

To friends, she’s Katya.
To history, she’s Katerina.

Raised between art and mathematics, she never chose just one path. At 14, she picked up a camera — and somehow became everything she once dreamed of: director, actress, storyteller, creator of realities.

At 19 — a designer, unconvinced by grades.
At 22 — a mother.
At 25 — navigating publishing, imagery, and inspiration fueled by David Lynch.
At 27 — experimenting, breaking images apart, rebuilding them into something new.

Moscow years — loud, intense, formative. Freelance freedom and creative chaos.
And then the realization: this is not just work — this is art.

A sudden cut. Germany. A new life, a new beginning.
And from there — quietly, steadily — into international exhibitions, into institutions, into conversations with the greats.

Still evolving. Still shaping her own reality. Still moving forward.

Happy Birthday, my love.
