Niamh from recently graduated from Sallynoggin Floristry School, and what a brilliant addition she was to the IOF team at Bloom. 🌼🧡

She brought creativity, positivity and plenty of laughs to the stand every single day. From helping make what felt like hundreds of buttonholes to creating these gorgeous wearable floral designs, Niamh threw herself into every task with enthusiasm and a smile.

It’s always exciting to see the next generation of florists coming through, and Niamh is definitely one to watch. Her eye for colour, passion for floristry and willingness to get stuck in made her such a valuable part of the team.

Thank you, Niamh, for volunteering your time, sharing your talent and bringing such brilliant energy to the Institute of Flowers. We loved having you as part of the Bloom family and can’t wait to see where your floristry journey takes you next. 💛🌸

Carolyn Duggan from announced as Floral Designer of the Year 2026. 🏆💐

Presented by Yvonne Miland from , who generously sponsored the trophies for this year’s competition, this award recognises creativity, technical excellence and a passion for floristry.

As part of her prize, Carolyn has won a place on Joseph Massie’s two-day masterclass this October with the Institute of Flowers, an incredible opportunity to learn from one of the world’s most respected floral designers.

The standard throughout the competition was outstanding, making this a fantastic achievement.

Congratulations Carolyn. A very deserving winner, and we can’t wait to see where your floristry journey takes you next.

The creativity, skill, and imagination on display throughout the weekend were incredible. Every entry brought something unique, making the judging process no easy task.

A special thank you to our wonderful judges, Diana Toma, Richard Haslam and Siobhan McCleary, for generously sharing their time, expertise and knowledge. We are so grateful for your support and encouragement of Irish floristry.

Thank you also to our prize sponsors, Positive2Work Skillnet and Digital Florist Software, along with the IOF workshops that formed part of this year’s prize package. Your support helps create opportunities for florists to continue learning, developing and growing their skills.

Violet,

Our very own Pocket Rocket 🌸🚀

Not once, but twice, you made the journey from County Mayo to volunteer your time Bord Bia Bloom , and we are so grateful that you did.

The thing about Violet is that she always shows up. From the very beginning of the IOF, you have been there. Workshops, events, training days, Bloom. You support this community time and time again, and that never goes unnoticed.

You may be small, but you bring enough energy for ten people! From the moment you arrived, you were in the middle of everything—chatting to visitors, encouraging florists, sharing your knowledge, and helping wherever a pair of hands was needed.

One of our favourite Bloom memories has to be watching you make sure every Garda you could find was proudly wearing a buttonhole. Not even the superintendents escaped! Before long, flowers were popping up all over Bloom thanks to your determination and enthusiasm.

You have a real passion for floristry and for people. You are always willing to share your knowledge, encourage others, and help wherever you can. That generosity and enthusiasm are a huge part of what makes our community so special.

Thank you for giving your time so freely, for working so hard, and for always showing up. The IOF is stronger because of members like you.

You might be our Pocket Rocket, but you leave a very big impression wherever you go. 💚🌸

Bloom might be over, but we’re still looking back at everything this incredible community created.

When people think of Bloom, they often think of the Institute of Flowers tent. But what many don’t see is that our florists were everywhere. From show gardens and floral installations to wearable floristry, demonstrations, displays and countless finishing touches behind the scenes.

These photos are just a small glimpse of the talent, creativity and hard work that went into Bloom 2026.

Over 76 florists from our community got involved throughout the weekend, bringing their own skills, personalities and ideas to projects across the showgrounds. Some were creating huge statement pieces, some were quietly perfecting the details, and some were simply getting stuck in wherever they were needed.

That’s what made Bloom so special this year. It wasn’t about one florist or one display. It was about a community of people coming together, sharing knowledge, supporting each other and showing the public what modern floristry looks like.

We couldn’t be prouder of every single person who played a part.
