Now is your chance to become a member of Frankfurt School Ventures. You can apply to one of our divisions: or to take part in workshops, site visits and projects with and for and VC Funds. You will have the opportunity to enhance your , work on your own startup or take on daily tasks of a Venture Fund. We will equip you with all necessary knowledge to conquer the start-up .

Apply until Sunday, 15th September with an email to [email protected] and state your preferred division, a short motivation and attach your CV. Important to note, its about your motivation and dedication rather then your experience or your phase of study.

Dear fellow students,

We are very excited to announce our final event of the semester visiting Deutsche Börse's FinTech Hub and CASHLINK.

Michael Duttlinger, CEO & Co-Founder of CASHLINK and Co-Host of the FinTech Meetup Frankfurt, as well as representatives from the FinTech Hub of Deutsche Börse are inviting us to an exciting presentation about the path of an intriguing FinTech startup its incubation on Wednesday, December 12th, at 16:00 in their office at Deutsche Börse's FinTech Hub! CASHLINK has received middle six-digit funding from Carsten Maschmeyer's fund Seed+Speed together with two business angels (known from the German version of "Shark Tank").

Note: The event will be held English.

Dear students,

As you might have heard, we have changed our name from FS LightUp to FS Ventures. This reflects our change in scope covering not only everything entrepreneurship, but also the venture capital world. We aspire to be the main source of knowledge about the startup ecosystem for all FS students. We will offer you first-hand experiences to tap the stories and skills of successful founders and renowned investors during talks, panels and workshops as well as site visits.

Now, we are embarking on our first mission under FS Ventures in a 2-day trip to Berlin visiting top-tier venture capital firms such as Holtzbrinck Ventures, Earlybird, e.ventures and Creandum as well as accelerators such as Techstars and leAD Sports Accelerator (Adidas). In 1-hourly visits we will have the opportunity to gain insights about the investment hypotheses and focus areas of the different funds, how they aim to evaluate the next potential unicorn and the skills applied in their daily business. Some funds will present us some of their investment cases to apply their approach together with us in case studies.

--- When does it take place? ---
We are leaving Frankfurt by train on Thursday, November 22nd, early in the morning and will arrive for our first visit prior to lunch time. After our last (and extended) stop at Holtzbrinck Ventures on Friday, November 23rd, we will conclude our trip with a final drink together on their rooftop. The event will end around 19:00 and we will travel back by train to arrive later at night back in Frankfurt.
PS: If you want to stay the weekend to discover Berlin, you are of course free to do so.

--- How much does it cost? ---
You can expect travel and accommodation to be about 80€ (total) for you, as StuCo is subsidizing this trip with 25€ per person.

--- How to apply? ---
If you want to be part of this unique experience as one of 15 FS students and perhaps want to get your foot in the door for an internship or a job entrance at a prime VC fund or one of their portfolio companies, please apply with your *CV and a brief statement about your motivation* (5-10 sentences) to [email protected].
Note: It is not mandatory to bring prior startup or VC experience - just tell us why you are excited to become part of this trip. We begin selecting the 15 most VC-enthusiastic students on a rolling basis, so be fast to secure your spot first!
