AI in healthcare should not be about replacing human judgment.
It should be about strengthening it.

For Dr. Amel Havkic, that means thinking about AI as Augmented Intelligence: technology that helps clinicians make better decisions, improve quality, and work more efficiently.

The real divide may not be AI vs. doctors.
It may be healthcare professionals who know how to use AI vs. those who don’t.

AI literacy is quickly becoming part of modern clinical practice.

🎙️ In this conversation with Radr. Ransom Onyema, Dr. Amel Havkic shares his perspective on AI, MedTech, and the future of healthcare.

MedTech should not start with a finished solution looking for a clinical problem.
It should start inside the reality of care.

The better approach is to observe, understand and learn where the real friction exists, then build around a problem that already needs solving.

Because when a solution fits naturally into clinical reality, adoption becomes far more likely.

🫁Recovery after a lung transplant takes time.

In his latest article for BUNTE.de, Dr. Amel Havkic explains why the first months after lung transplantation are particularly important and why Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s continued absence from public appearances does not necessarily signal cause for concern from a medical perspective.

The article explores infection prevention, close medical monitoring, pulmonary rehabilitation and the key milestones following transplantation.

Clinical adoption is not the final step in MedTech.
It is one of the biggest blind spots.

After speaking with more than 150 MedTech innovators, clinical adoption emerged as the leading challenge behind failure ahead of fundability and many of the technical hurdles teams usually focus on first.

Because building a strong medical technology is only part of the equation. 🏥
It still has to work inside a complex healthcare system, across workflows, stakeholders, economic realities and clinical constraints.

There is no single finish line.
There is only sustainable adoption.

🎙️ Dr. Amel Havkic discusses this with Christian Espinosa on Episode 81 of The Med Device Cyber Podcast: Why Great Medical Technology Never Reaches Patients.

A successful pilot does not mean your solution is ready for the real world.

Pilots happen in controlled environments. Clinical care does not.

At 3 a.m., an overworked clinician does not have ideal conditions, unlimited support, or time to figure out unnecessary complexity.

That is why MedTech solutions need to be designed for real workflows, real pressure, and real human limitations.

Because healthcare is chaos.
And creating clarity inside that chaos is where real value begins.

🎙️ In this conversation with Radr. Ransom Onyema, Dr. Amel Havkic shares why clinical adoption starts long before scale.

We’re proud to share a new milestone for Dr. Amel Havkic, Founder of EvoMed Consulting. 👏

He has been appointed to the HealthManagement.org Multidisciplinary Editorial Board for the 2026–2031 term.

This reflects a principle at the core of EvoMed Consulting: better healthcare depends on stronger alignment between clinical reality, strategic decision-making, and innovation.

Clinical insight cannot stay disconnected from the boardroom. Strategy cannot ignore workflow. And innovation only creates value when it can be safely adopted in real-world care.🌍

Better healthcare requires better alignment.

🎙️ Global Health in 60 Seconds Podcast

In this clip, Dr. Amel Havkic explains the thinking behind the EMC StarMap, a strategic navigation framework that helps MedTech innovators align clinical, regulatory, and commercial realities.🧭

Success in healthcare depends on more than great technology. It requires alignment across clinical viability, regulation, reimbursement, competitive positioning, and ecosystem cooperation.

The EMC StarMap helps teams identify blind spots, avoid costly mistakes, and uncover strategic opportunities early.

Because in MedTech, success is not just about innovation.
It is about alignment. 🩺

A successful pilot does not guarantee a successful business. 🧭

In controlled environments, almost everything is optimized for success.
Real-world adoption is different.

In this clip from the RaiseHealth podcast with Alberto Chan, Dr. Amel Havkic explains why lasting MedTech success depends on much more than a good pilot, it requires aligning the many factors that determine whether a solution can thrive in everyday clinical practice.

Because before you scale, you need to fit.
