What does real progress in PV recycling look like? ♻️
For LONGi, it means turning recyclability into real-world action — at scale.

Through continued R&D in module dismantling and recycling technologies, up to 94% of the materials in PV modules can be recycled and reused. LONGi has also built a 1,000-ton module recycling and dismantling demonstration line, advancing the industrialization of recycling technologies while improving material recovery and reducing waste.

But closing the loop takes more than technology. It takes an ecosystem.

🌍 Across key European markets, LONGi participates in established PV module recycling systems in line with WEEE requirements.
🌎 In Latin America, we have partnered with Rafqui in Mexico to establish a PV module recycling institution and received certification from PV Cycle Brazil.
♻️ In 2025, LONGi worked with WEEE compliance organizations to report a total of 4,589.27 MW of PV modules.

From technology development to regional recycling networks, we’re working with partners across the value chain to make circularity part of solar’s global growth.

Because powering a cleaner future also means taking responsibility for what comes next.

Can solar panels help feed the world? At , LONGi’s CTO Li Zhenguo shared two tech pathways that turn PV into a food-security game-changer:

1. Artificial starch from CO₂ & green hydrogen – efficiency 3-5× higher than natural photosynthesis.

2. PV-powered “energy-water-food” systems – transforming deserts into farmland, proven in China’s Kubuqi Desert.

From lab to desert, PV is no longer just clean energy – it’s a lifeline for resilient food supply.

What if circularity started long before a solar module reached the end of its life? ♻️

At LONGi, it does.

We integrate circular thinking across the entire product lifecycle — from design and manufacturing to packaging, logistics and, ultimately, recycling.

It starts with designing for longer life and better resource efficiency. We continue to introduce new materials and processes, reduce hazardous substances and increase the use of recyclable components — while extending product warranties from 25 to 30 years.

The same thinking carries into how our products are made and delivered. In 2025:
⚡ Energy consumption per unit at our Lighthouse Factory decreased by 10.1% year-on-year
♻️ 20,029 tons of waste resources were utilized
📦 Recyclable packaging adoption reached 100% for crucible and silicon wafer products
🚆 Multimodal transport continued to expand, including 81% adoption at international ports

Because a circular solar economy isn’t built at the end of a product’s life. It’s designed into every stage from the beginning.

And when that lifecycle does come full circle? That’s where the next chapter begins. Stay tuned.
