Wir möchten gerne auf eine Umfrage des Europäischen Dachverbandes der Legal Clinics "European Network for Clinical Legal Education" (www.encle.eu) hinweisen:
Dear all,
Clinical legal education is becoming more and more a wide spread reality within the legal education systems all over Europe. However, very little research has been done so far in this area. This European research on Legal Clinics attempts to fill the gap and to gain a better idea about practice and acceptance of this innovative way of legal education.
The European research is conducted by Ms Clelia Bartoli in cooperation with the European Network for Clinical Legal Education (www.encle.eu) and is funded by MEP Cécile Kyenge, former Minister for Integration in Italy and member of the LIBE committee at the European Parliament.
The objective of this research is to picture the situation of Legal Clinics in Europe (in its large understanding, thus not only within countries of the European Union), both in terms of their organization and their mission. The research results should in addition also help to enhance the institutional recognition of Legal Clinics and their scientific and social impact.
At European level, the aim is also to make known to the European Parliament and other European institutions this varied reality and its extraordinary potential, both for the training of a new generation of lawyers, as well as for the promotion of social justice.
If you are directly involved as responsible for a Legal Clinic in Europe (please avoid double answers from the same clinical program), we kindly invite you to complete the questionnaire at the following link. Otherwise, we would be very grateful if you could help us in reaching out to all persons responsible for a Legal Clinic in Europe by forwarding the survey to them: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/17vPnXxf036t1UOz2GEcL5VUGkmtQ8mwQkGXgFkrBgdI/viewform
Please respond as soon as possible but in any case before the 3rd May 2015!
This questionnaire mostly consists of multiple-choice questions, which are divided into six categories (general description of the legal clinic, economic profile of the legal clinic, the clinic as an educational experience, areas of intervention and types of clients, the network of the legal clinic, the social impact of the legal clinic). Its compilation takes about fifteen minutes.
If you have any further question, please contact the responsible of the research, Ms Clelia Bartoli ([email protected]).
We thank you for your availability.
Kind regards,
Clelia Bartoli & Ulrich Stege
