Europe excels in research but struggles to bring ideas to market, only one-third of European patents are commercially exploited. This represents a massive opportunity for deep tech innovation driven by science-based entrepreneurship.

🎉 10 Jahre Innovation im MakerSpace 🎊
Die UnternehmerTUM MakerSpace GmbH wird 10 Jahre alt!

Seit 2015 bauten 33.500 Personen hier an ihren Ideen um diese in greifbare Lösungen zu verwandelt.

„Prototypen lassen sich in der Werkstatt schnell und kostengünstig realisieren,“ so Prof. Dr. Helmut Schoenenberger, Gründer und CEO von UnternehmerTUM. „Heute dient der MakerSpace als zentrale Infrastruktur für das gesamte UnternehmerTUM Ökosystem und ist der Nährboden für Erfolgsgeschichten wie Isar Aerospace, allunderground und TUM Hyperloop, die hier einst als studentische Teams ihre ersten Innovationen schufen.”

🏁 Gestartet 2015 am Forschungscampus der Technische Universität München mit modernsten Werkzeugen – von 3D-Druckern bis zu Elektronik- und Metallwerkstätten – bietet der MakerSpace den idealen Raum, um Ideen unkompliziert in Prototypen zu verwandeln. Seit 2021 ergänzt ein zweiter MakerSpace im Munich Urban Colab das Angebot, spezialisiert auf Sensorik und und Lösungen für die Stadt der Zukunft.

🙌 Diese Infrastruktur hat beeindruckende Erfolge ermöglicht: Von Robotiklösungen (Angsa Robotics, KEWAZO) über neuartige Sensortechnik (Olive Robotics) bis hin zu den ersten Flaschen von air up®. Sogar die BMW Group nutzte den MakerSpace für den Umbau von 20 BMW i3 Urban Suite Concept Cars. 🚙

Neben Start-ups und Unternehmen nutzen auch lokale Handwerksmeister*innen und DIY-Begeisterte die Maschinen, was einen lebendigen Austausch und eine kreative Community fördert. 🤝

Wir sind unglaublich stolz auf die letzten 10 Jahre und freuen uns darauf, auch in Zukunft Innovationen zu ermöglichen! 🔨⚙️🪚
