“Leading the Way” by Fritz Kundner GmbH & Co. KG is the winner of the category „Green Innovation“. Developed for PRODUCTIONMATTERS and Lufthansa Technik, the packaging serves as a presentation solution for the “GuideU” floor marking system.

The focus is on sustainable materials such as Gmund H**p and Gmund Bio Cycle, deliberately avoiding the use of plastic films and varnishes. Combined with offset printing, blind embossing, and precise die-cutting, the result is high-quality, functional packaging with a clear ecological focus.

No Gmund Award would be complete without an extraordinary trophy! This year, London-based paper artist Nathan Ward created some very special papercraft trophies using the new Gmund Colors papers, which were presented to the winners of the Gmund Award.

Winner of the “Book” category: “FURRER 70” by Borovskaya-Brodskaya · Gugg · Mayr .gugg . The project combines two books in an elaborately designed slipcase and is conceived as a cohesive whole.

The absence of color on the slipcase and the use of precise blind embossing create a tactile reading experience. Inside, six Gmund Colors papers and a carefully coordinated composition of formats and proportions ensure a multi-layered result - executed with high bookbinding precision.

The winner of the “Private” category is the 2026 “Moon Phase Calendar / Wall Calendar” by Bethge Treuleben .store. The project combines artistic design with high-quality materials and traditional craftsmanship.

Printed on Gmund Moonlight using hand screen printing, the calendar features striking custom color gradients with metallic pigments and an iridescent finish. A bold neon accent on the cover completes the visual concept.

The winner of the “Mailing” category is the project “With Compliments” by Sammartino Arti Grafiche feat. Freskiz Communicate Sammartino Arti Grafiche Freskiz Comunicate​. The greeting card features a creative unfolding design that, thanks to its construction, invites the viewer to take a closer look.

Made from Gmund Colors Matt and Gmund Used, the project combines high-quality materials with precise craftsmanship and techniques such as two-color hot foil stamping, embossing, and debossing. The elaborately designed envelope solution and surprising effects upon opening make the mailing an eye-catching communication tool.

Also taking first place in the category “Business”: “Swatch Book 2026 – The Metamorphosis of Paris” by Imprimerie du Marais ​. The project combines French charm with technical precision and features 25 individually designed, removable cards.

The complex production process incorporates a variety of finishing techniques, including hot foil stamping, screen printing, blind embossing, and microperforation. A well-designed sales tool for international brands that impressively demonstrates quality and technical expertise – inspired by the cultural diversity of Paris.
