After 12 months of our start up first roll out of our Carpet Slip-ons, we are excited to bring out our new Zum Wolle range of products. Hand crocheted decorative storage baskets and yoga mat carry bags!

Thanks to Wools of New Zealand UK, we were able to get leftover rolls of New Zealand wool from Danfloor carpet manufacturer in Denmark to make this all possible. We especially like the super thick yarn we used for our storage baskets which make them nice and sturdy.

Fortunately we were lucky enough to get some upcycled leather scraps from a local outlet in our home town of Hamburg. We found that upcycled leather can be quite challenging to find, given its relatively high costs and versatility. We always strive to use upcycled or "waste" materials from the manufacturer for all our products and have been fortunate to this so far. After all, there is no point in chopping up a perfectly functional leather belt or handbag from the local street market in order to make a different item. This would probably fit in an unknown realm between recycling and upcycling.

We look forward to our first public showing of our new storage baskets and yoga bags in the next couple of weeks and in the meantime they are ready for sale direct from our website :)
