IN 2019...

You and I need clarity and direction. We need to re-prioritize and re-strategize!

Let's get away from the noise, distractions, and distractors and sit down to plan out how we want 2019 to look like.

What do you want your relationship with God to be like?

How about your purpose? How have you been doing and how do you intend to continue in 2019?

Do you need to change direction, pursue or overtake?

What about your (church) family, spouse, children if any? How do you intend to lead them?

How about school, or that job you wanted?

Business? Is it still worth it or should you carry your basin and pack out?

Are you pursuing good things or God things?

How important is your health to you? Are you willing to put in what it takes to regain control over your health? How will you go about it? What are you willing to sacrifice?

Know this...

Your life will not get better by default or because it's going to be a New Year.

You cannot accomplish what you do not visualize. So where do you see yourself in 2019?

You must be deliberate and intentional about your life. A dream alone and some scribbles on paper is only worth that much. So you want to start a new business in 2019, how will you go about it?

The foolish will sit and wait for the 1st of January, but the while will sit for 5 days and plan out their 2019.

Planting does not happen by default. It's intentional. The only thing that grows by default are weeds in the field!

Don't allow weeds to grow on the fertile land that you are.

Wise Up!

Of course, man makes plans but God has the final say. But then again....MAN SHOULD MAKE PLANS ...and let God redirect!

Don't let social media compete for your attention. Find time and draw yourself a vision board for 2019.

As for me, I'm off for more clarity and direction. Any posts you see are scheduled in advance.

GRACE OVER GRIND!

Hustle and grind are the two most commonly used words for most entrepreneurs. We believe that hustling is the recipe for success in business.

On T-shirts or social media memes you will read phrases like 'Rise and grind', 'Team no sleep', 'Good things come to those who grind'.

Christian entrepreneurs have tried modifying these phrases to make them more Jesus-friendly. You'd read things like 'Pray. Grind. Repeat', 'Wake. Pray. Hustle', or 'Eat. Pray. Grind. Repeat'. Don't get me wrong, not trying to judge you! I am guilty as well!

Maybe you are thinking 'Ah Aunty Zee, these are just motivational quotes, nothing wrong in that'. Well, my beloved, though these phrases may sound spiritual, the hustle-and-grind mindset is the same.

It seems to be that hustling and grinding hard, sleepless night and stress are what makes an entrepreneur. We idolize and exalt hard work over the presence of God. We think that it's our hustle and sleepless nights that bring success in business.

Child of God listen. The cost of the hustle-and-grind-till-you-drop mindset is just to high a price to pay for the Kingdom-driven Entrepreneur (KDE).

The definition of grind in the dictionary is 'an activity requiring much exertion and hard work'. Meanwhile, hustle is defined as making STRENUOUS EFFORT to obtain something related to money or business.

This is not the will of God for our lives. That we should work tirelessly until you drop, losing sleep daily and increasing stress exponentially. This right here is the recipe for faster death.

If your business, is so time-consuming that it stops you from having a continuous relationship with God, then there is a problem. Remember, that ANYTHING that takes the place of God in your life is an IDOL! Even hard work.

That is why God offers Grace. We are not only saved by Grace but also SUSTAINED and POWERED by Grace. God wants to be a part of your business. He wants to play His role through Grace.

Consider, this write up to be an invitation from our heavenly father, the ultimate CEO and best business partner you will ever have.

It is an invitation to live and work by Grace, not by Grind. Leaning on the one who renews your strength daily by the same Grace God so loving provided so you can experience His best in the marketplace.

I am talking about the Ephesians 3:20 kind of best; which is immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine according to His power that is at work in you.

Let the Holy Spirit be your Chief Operating Officer (COO) so that He can show you how to run things and lead you on the right track.

By Grace, not Grind this week and beyond in Jesus' name.

I almost gave up pursuing my Ph.D. because I wanted to dedicate all my time preaching the word of God. I was miserable, I wanted to preach God, minister His word daily.

Serving God by preaching the Gospel was (and still is) my ONLY desire.

BUT the Holy Spirit spoke to me 3 years ago through my eldest sister.

He said 'you can minister my word, share the gospel and bring the Kingdom on earth in EVERYTHING you do'.

Listen beloved, ministering the gospel is not limited to being a pastor, a gospel singer or an evangelist. There are problems in your church, surroundings, and society God wants you to solve.

Jesus didn't say when I was hungry, you prayed in tongues for me. He said YOU GAVE ME TO EAT!

He didn't say when I was homeless, you organized a gospel concert. He said you sheltered me. Don't get me wrong, prayer is so very important. But so are other factors. We don't eat prayer, we eat food that someone planted, harvested, marketed and we bought. If everyone preached, no one will have food to eat.

Everything we do like feeding the hungry with food or with knowledge for the good of people and advancement of the Kingdom is MINISTERING UNTO CHRIST.

We have been made to believe in some churches that you have to stop school because God has called you to be in full - time service. LIES THE TOLD!

God wants us to acquire KNOWLEDGE because knowledge is POWER. If people perish for lack of knowledge, then the reverse is true:

PEOPLE PROSPER IN FULLNESS OF KNOWLEDGE.

And God's Kingdom is advanced when its children have knowledge on WHO God is, WHAT God can do, our ASSIGNMENT as kingdom citizens and HOW we can advance God's kingdom using His blueprint.

There is a reason why obtaining that degree in software engineering is necessary for you and for the Kingdom. In Exodus 35:35 the Bible tells us the people were filled with SKILL to do ALL KINDS of WORK for building the tabernacle.

Exodus 31:3 - 5 says the same thing: and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver, and bronze, 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.

If Noah didn't receive the knowledge on the architectural design for the Arc, they would have all died in the flood. The flood was the problem, the arc the solution but SOMEONE had to build it!

You see the reason why we continue to be beggars in the kingdom is that we refuse to acquire knowledge to solve problems in our own lives and in the lives of others. We think that we can fast and pray our way into solving our issues. WRONG MIND-SET beloved!

God created trees but gave us the wisdom to create chairs. If you can sit today it is because someone knew not only to pray but also to use the things God created and the wisdom imparted us at creation to do something.

When Jesus gave us our Lord's prayer, He didn't ask us to pray to go to heaven. Instead, He asked us to pray that the Kingdom should come to earth. We are channels the Lord wants to use to bring the Kingdom of God to earth.

God wants to use you to bring kingdom economics to earth. You can be a minister even in the marketplace my beloved! Don't limit yourself by refusing to acquire knowledge. God can use your expertise for His glory.

Let us stop believing the lies the devil and his advocates (in the form of some family members, church leaders or politicians) tell us and start living out our fullest potential for the betterment of our lives and the advancement of the Kingdom.
