Fireworks for another magical year at MAKES YOU LOOK! 💥 Always on the quest to make the world a little more colourful and fun. 🪄✨
More than seven years ago I embarked on this journey with my own Visual Merchandising & In-Store Design company, designing and implementing retail and gastronomy projects. 🙃 Sometimes the world seems upside down, but looking back at 2024, it’s been another year full of great projects for and with wonderful people and companies. This is still the best job in the world. Thank you! 🫶

Wow 2023! 💥Thank you for another great year at MAKES YOU LOOK with wonderful clients and collaborators! My projects ranged from designing and implementing shop windows and in-store designs, producing guidelines for product presentation, and developing VM tools, to creating graphics concepts and hands-on styling for retail and gastronomy. And of course, there was Christmas magic! 🪄✨
My longest project in the making, on the slow burn since 2019, finally got realised. 🥳
The world of Visual Merchandising gathered for a catch-up on our booth at the Euroshop trade fair and the VMM Conference on the Vitra campus was a wonderful platform for further exchange. At the third VMM Hamburg meeting we caught an exciting glimpse of the soon to be opening Überseequartier.
Finally, I was a lecturer for Visual Merchandising at the HSD in Düsseldorf.
I cannot wait for 2024. Bring it on! 🫶

👑Hamburg is ready for King Charles' visit...
I had fun designing and installing this ROYAL TEA PARTY shop window at Ladage&Oelke on Tuesday in preparation for today. It is located directly behind the town hall in Hamburg so he might even catch a glimpse🇬🇧

Thank you 2022! ✨It was the 5th anniversary of MAKES YOU LOOK full of exciting projects with great clients and fantastic partners. Visual Merchandising bounced back after covid and my projects ranged from creating product presentations and VM guidelines, designing retail brand spaces, gastro counters and campaign graphics to planning and implementing last minute Christmas installations and holding a speech at the Nordstil exhibition. I was invited to train design students at the HSD in Düsseldorf for the first time and met great VM colleagues at the first two VMM meetings in Hamburg. It's been a blast.💥
More of that and the unexpected in 2023 please!
