This week we finished our 3 year project STADIEM (stadiem.eu) which connected 80+ media startups and scaleups with corporates from the industry for co-innovation projects.
The teams and partners covered nearly all European countries which made this a truly international adventure.

Today we celebrate the end of a wonderful conference with three learnings from our match making area, where european startups had the perfect chance to talk to investors and media experts. 

What we’ve realized about matchmaking:

1. Sometimes the most unusual matches are the most inspiring ones

It's definitely worth talking to people from other industries, even if there aren't any direct business benefits for you. They look at your topics and ideas through a different disciplinary lens and help you think outside the box. 

2. In business, not everything has to be about business

Casual conversations about everyday topics bring you closer to your potential business partner in an informal way. The perfect basis for pleasant further cooperation 

3. Now is the time to think about the future – also in terms of contacts

If you have the opportunity, go ahead and start talking to people you think could be useful to work with in the future. Sometimes the moments when you are ready for cooperation come without warning and sooner than you expected. Knowing each other already will help you get off to a faster start.
