Wir freuen uns sehr, dass Karlsson Port seit dem 01. Oktober 2022 Geschäftsführer der Port International Bananas GmbH sowie der Port International Organics GmbH ist. Mit dem Einstieg in die Geschäftsführung wird die Familientradition des Unternehmens in mittlerweile 6. Generation fortgesetzt. Ab sofort wird Karlsson an der Seite des weiteren Geschäftsführers, Mike Port, die Geschicke des Bananengeschäfts der beiden Unternehmenstöchter steuern.

We are very pleased that Karlsson Port has been Managing Director of Port International Bananas GmbH and Port International Organics GmbH since first of October 2022. With his entry into the management, the family tradition of the company is being continued in what is now the 6th generation. With immediate effect, Karlsson will steer the fortunes of the banana business of the two company subsidiaries alongside the other Managing Director, Mike Port.

Mit unserem spanischen Partner, Agro Martín vertreiben wir schon seit 4 Jahren klimaneutrale Erdbeeren. 🍓Neben sozialen Projekten engagiert sich Agro Martín auch aktiv für den Klimaschutz. Wusstest du, dass das HHLA Container Terminal in bereits 50 % seiner Transportmittel auf elektrische, mit betriebene, Transportmittel umgestellt hat? 🚚 Elektrisch betriebene Transportmittel setzen, wenn sie mit Ökostrom getankt werden, weniger CO2-Emissionen in die Atmosphäre frei und schaden dem Klima somit weniger. Was glaubst du, werden Fahrzeuge in Zukunft zum größten Teil elektronisch betrieben?

Did you know that the HHLA Container Terminal in Hamburg has already converted 50% of its vehicles to electric ones? Electrically powered means of transport, when fuelled with , release fewer CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and thus do less harm to the climate. After many years of research and testing, our partner FT Logistics replaced their trucks with a more efficient engine construction. In addition, these trucks have a GPS programme which uses high-resolution topography maps and stored route information to ensure that the vehicle's kinetic energy is used to its full potential. The new tucks can save on average 2.1 l of diesel per 100 km which equals more than 6 kg of CO₂. Learn more about this project on our blog.
