Anodized parts should have a clean and consistent appearance

⚪ DO: ensure even color and that parts are fully dry before packing
⚪ DON'T: allow stains or use markers to hide defects

Water marks, stains, or touch-ups may seem minor, but they can lead to avoidable quality concerns and rework — especially on visible surfaces.

Surface finish consistency matters more than many manufacturers think.
A clean and uniform surface appearance helps reduce avoidable quality concerns and rework.
⚪ DO: keep finish consistent and inspect parts under good lighting
⚪ DON’T: add extra finishing unless specifically requested

Small scratches, stains, or inconsistent brushing can create unnecessary quality issues — especially on visible surfaces.

What is a COO Certificate?

A Certificate of Origin (COO) confirms the country where your products are manufactured. Some customers require it for customs clearance and supplier verification.

If your company can provide COO certificates:

⚪ Open your Xometry profile
⚪ Go to My Competences
⚪ Click Edit → Certificates
⚪ Add COO

This helps us better match your company with customer requirements and relevant work.

⚪ To update your profile, go to:
Xometry Account → Profile → My Competencies → Edit
⚪ Add your technologies, materials, certifications, and production capabilities.
⚪ Keep company and contact information updated to improve matching and communication.
⚪ Mention unique equipment or special capabilities to increase visibility for more complex jobs.

The more complete your profile is, the easier it is for the routing algorithm to find suitable work for your production.
