A ray of hope in the fight against child labor

The Philippines is making real progress: Child labor has dropped by 40% in just two years. Government data shows that working children aged 5-17 now represent only 2.7% of the child population – down from 4.7% just two years ago.

This is what change looks like:
✓ 828,000 → 509,000 working children (2022-2024)
✓ Sustained efforts by government and organizations
✓ Stronger protections and opportunities for children

While there's still work to do, this decline proves that dedicated action works. Every child deserves a childhood – not a workplace.
