Most university patents never leave the lab.
Last week, ten teams had five days to change that.
Researchers from across Europe took a real patent and worked out whether anyone would actually pay for it. One of the inventors was in a team himself, building on his own patent.
On day 2 the teams ran expert interviews and gathered first feedback right away. Some ideas survived the process, some didn’t.
Then on Friday, all ten teams pitched at the Demo Day in front of a jury.
