Urbans-Hof grows the finest Riesling in some of the top Grand Cru vineyards in the Mosel such as Leiwener Laurentiuslay, Ockfener Bockstein and Piesporter Goldtroepchen with vines of more than a 100 year old and on their own rootstocks. Urbans-Hof keltert schon seit 1947 feine Einzellagen-Rieslingweine von einigen der steilsten Hänge der Welt im berühmten Mosel Saar Ruwer Gebiet. Urbans-Hof has been producing the finest single vineyard Rieslings grown on some of the world's steepest slopes in the famous Mosel Saar Ruwer region since 1947.

Grape harvest may be over, but things are far from quiet around here! 🍇 With the 2026 Rieslings already fermenting, our full attention has now shifted to the cellar.

After an exceptionally early harvest that has given us plenty of reasons to be optimistic, expectations for the new vintage are high. 😍 Now it’s time to let the w**es do their thing, while we keep a close eye on how they develop over the coming months. 🍷✨

Friday calls for something special. 🤩

The perfect occasion to open a bottle of our 2024 LAYET GG. Grown on steep slate terraces from vines up to 100 years old, this Riesling combines ripe apple, juicy peach and delicate citrus notes with fine minerality and a silky texture.

Beautiful to enjoy now, with many great years still ahead. 😊

A proper way to end this year’s harvest! 😍🥂

After four intense weeks, the 2026 vintage is in the cellar. Time for “Hunnen”, our annual end-of-harvest celebration here on the Mosel. 😊

Good food, great w**e and the whole team around one table - right where the presses had still been running just the day before.

A fitting end to a month we won’t forget anytime soon… 🍷

Riesling Harvest 2026 - Check! ✅

Almost exactly one month after starting our earliest Riesling harvest ever, the 2026 vintage is in. 🎉

A big thank you to our harvest team for all the hard work during four intense weeks (…that somehow flew by 😊).

Now the next chapter begins in our cellar...

The 2026 harvest on the Mosel is slowly coming to an end. A fitting moment to turn our attention to the vintage before and to a w**e that has its origins right on our doorstep: our MOSEL Riesling 2025. 🍇

40 to 70-year-old vines, river sediments over slate and the cool character of the Mosel shape a Riesling that is juicy, precise and full of energy, with bright fruit, fine acidity and beautiful depth.

Recently awarded 93 points and joint 1st place at the Falstaff Gutsriesling Trophy. 🏆

This time, we’re in the Mehringer Blattenberg, picking Riesling for our Mehringer Alte Reben. With vines up to 100 years old, this is always a special part of our harvest. ❤️

Alongside the Riesling harvest, definitely a hot contender for our highlight of the week: Monday’s 4 Hands Dinner at Sascha Stemberg with Max Strohe from Berlin’s Tulus Lotrek. 🔥🍷

We had the pleasure of joining as guest w**emaker, pairing our w**es with a fantastic menu by Sascha and Max. Great food, plenty of Riesling and a room full of wonderful people. What. A. Night! ♥️

For the past few months, we’ve already been experimenting with an agricultural drone to support the management of our steep vineyards on Mosel & Saar. Today, together with , we took a closer look at the role this technology could potentially play during grape harvest. 🚁

An exciting glimpse into how modern technology could contribute to preserving steep-slope viticulture for the future.
