📚 Book recommendation for founders, innovators, and anyone who’s ever built business from scratch:

Last week, I read “Founders’ Stories: Scheitern als Geschäftsmodell” (“Founders’ Stories: Failure as a Business Model”) – and I have to say: it’s one of the most honest and insightful books on startups I’ve come across.

As someone who regularly speaks and leads workshops on startups, innovation, AI, and XR, I see myself in many of the stories shared here.

Especially because I’ve been on that journey too: we built a successful company from the ground up. We’ve seen the highs and the lows and this book captures that rollercoaster authentically and powerfully.

What I appreciate most is the honesty.
Failure isn’t an exception: it’s part of the process.

And that’s exactly what makes these stories so valuable!

Great insights at the “International Tech Talks” hosted by München und Oberbayern ( IHK für München und Oberbayern) with a sharp focus on in and Northern !

A few key takeaways that stuck with me:
1. Just because we can or may do something, doesn’t mean we should.
Technological, legal, and ethical boundaries need to be considered: especially with AI (Andrea Martin)

2. “Our machines should be nothing more than tools for extending the powers of the human beings who use them.”

3. AI trends for 2025?
• Agentic AI will transform businesses, but only if we upskill people.

Yesterday at Technische Universität München (Technical University of Munich) I had the pleasure of reconnecting with old colleagues, ex students, friends, my Doktormutter (Prof. Gudrun Klinker), and the brilliant Prof. Rob Lindeman (Director of the HIT Lab NZ), who delivered a fascinating talk on "Comfortable VR: Supporting Regular and Long-Term Immersion."

The day was filled with enriching discussions with Rob (that is a pioneer who have shaped the history of this incredible technology since the '90s).

It’s clear that regardless of whether we’re discussing eXtended Reality, Artificial Intelligence, or any other innovation, the focus remains the same: come first!

Grateful for such meaningful conversations and the opportunity to learn from one another.

Seit vielen Jahren lebe ich hier in Deutschland, zahle meine Steuern und habe in vielfältiger Weise zu unserem Gemeinwohl beigetragen. Dennoch ist es mir heute leider nicht gestattet, an der Wahl teilzunehmen. Diese Situation verdeutlicht für mich, wie einzigartig und wertvoll das Wahlrecht ist: ein Privileg, das es ermöglicht, aktiv an der Gestaltung unserer Zukunft teilzunehmen.

Wählen bedeutet, seine Stimme zu erheben und sich als informierter Bürger in die politische Entscheidungsfindung einzubringen.

Es ist ein Privileg, das mit Verantwortung einhergeht: eine Chance, mit Bedacht und Weitblick Entscheidungen zu treffen, die nicht nur das Hier und Jetzt, sondern auch die langfristige Entwicklung unseres Landes beeinflussen.

Ich appelliere an jeden Einzelnen, sich mit Kopf und Herz dieser Aufgabe zu widmen und die Bedeutung des Wahlrechts zu erkennen.

Last evening, I had the pleasure of attending the Finanz- und Heimatempfang Süd at the Kaisersaal of Residenz München: an event that focused not only on the digital sector but also on many other forward-thinking investments.

The inspiring conversations with Prof. Dagmar Schuller and Prof. Dr. Marcus Jautze opened up new perspectives and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary exchange for our continued growth.
