It's the last week to get Advance Presale passes for DICE, and our first round of conference topics are online!
Our 2019 theme is OVERTIME, and our programme will focus on topics concerning division of labour, balance, exploitation, hierarchy and incremental change.
To explore these topics, DICE will be inviting organisers and speakers from Berlin and beyond, including the Center for Intersectional Justice, Ableton, House of Living Colors, VUT - Verband unabhängiger Musikunternehmen e.V., PRS for Music Keychange, NATIVE INSTRUMENTS, Freie Universität Berlin, aequa, ATEM e.v., and more. Artist Spotlight talks will include an opening talk by renowned artist, DJ and author Juliana Huxtable and a multidisciplinary performance by Parisian performer Crystallmess entitled “Collective Amnesia: In Memory of Logobi”. Turkish electroacoustic composer Ipek Gorgun will present an experimental soundscape, drawing from musique concrète, noise and field recordings.
Conference workshops will include Grantwriting, Manifesto-writing, an Ableton Production Camp, a Practical Drag workshop, Long-term vs Short-term survival, Negotiating your worth!, Intersectionality Through Movement, Feminist Meme School, a DIY Q***r-Feminist Instagram Workshop, and more.
Panels and talks will take place on topics such as Feminist Explorations of Time and Care under Capitalism, Ideology in the Community, Intergenerationality in Dance Music; Race, Gender, and Identity Politics as Currency; The Revolution Will Not Be Funded; Migration and Drag Culture; and more.
