Pink October at LEONI 🎀

Throughout October, LEONI Group teams around the world came together to support Pink October and raise awareness of breast cancer prevention and early detection.

From medical screenings and awareness sessions at Leoni México and LEONI Tunisia, to educational workshops at UK, information campaigns at LEONI Portugal, open discussions with management and medical teams at LEONI Romania, solidarity initiatives at Paraguay, and an Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Day at LEONI Egypt, colleagues engaged in a wide range of activities promoting health and wellbeing.

Whether through expert guidance, preventive health measures, awareness campaigns, or simple gestures of support, all initiatives shared one common goal: encouraging people to prioritize their health and highlighting the importance of early detection.

It’s time to shine the spotlight on LEONI in South Korea.

LEONI entered the South Korean market in 2007 with the establishment of LEONI Wiring Systems Korea and the acquisition of shares in a local wiring company.

Today, LEONI supplies wiring systems for passenger and commercial vehicles to leading international automotive manufacturers. While production takes place at LEONI’s manufacturing sites in China, the Korean organization supports customers locally and helps ensure efficient delivery processes.

With its headquarters in Busan and a logistics warehouse in Pyeongtaek, LEONI employs around 40 people in South Korea. The proximity to key customer production sites enables efficient collaboration and supports reliable just-in-time delivery.

The future of automotive E/E architecture was a key topic at the Automotive Wire Harness & EDS Conference 2026 in Detroit.

In his presentation,"Tier 1 Perspective on E/E Architecture to Enable Next Generation Supply Chain", Dr. Frédéric Holzmann, Head of Electrics & Electronics Architecture at LEONI, shared how the next generation of E/E architectures can help transform the entire automotive value chain.

The discussion highlighted the need to move beyond today's increasingly complex wiring harness systems and accelerate the transition toward fully zonal architectures. By combining greater standardization, modularity, and automation, future vehicle architectures can enable more efficient manufacturing, shorter development cycles, increased supply chain resilience, and lower total cost of ownership.

Drawing on LEONI's latest proof-of-concept projects and development activities, the presentation demonstrated how advanced zonal architectures, automated manufacturing concepts, and new approaches to vehicle connectivity can help pave the way for the next generation of software-defined vehicles.

A key takeaway: "Next generation E/E architecture will only scale when the supply chain is designed as part of the architecture, not after it."

Turning AI ideas into real-world opportunities

On October 1, the KI-Infomobil stopped at LEONI Group in Kitzingen, bringing artificial intelligence to life through hands-on experiences and practical insights.

The KI-Infomobil of KI-Studios is an initiative by Fraunhofer IAO and the Institute of Human Factors and Technology Management IAT at the University of Stuttgart, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

The agenda featured interactive demonstrators that made the potential of AI tangible, followed by a workshop in which LEONI colleagues developed their own ideas for future AI applications. The format created space to explore possibilities, exchange perspectives and turn inspiration into concrete use cases.

A great opportunity to experience AI up close and to shape together how it can support our work in the future.
