Let's talk about evergreen programs for a hot minute. (including subscriptions!)
In a nutshell: They don't work. Not really, anyway.
You can have evergreen programs or courses, but there must be a cyclical or seasonal component to it or a mix of both.
Cyclical meaning you break your program/s into stages that you open up for registrations periodically throughout the year.
Seasonal meaning you have an offer suite you open up individually at specific times of the year, or offer up promotions to evergreen products.
But then, how do you keep people coming back? How do you get them to stay (if your product is subscription)?
A learning path. And this is easier said than done.
You don't want a Netflix where you can watch 100 trailers and end up undecided about which film to watch, let alone take action.
Have an overarching mission that you can break down into goals that your community achieves together....
And they achieve it through your individual courses, of course.
Remember, AAA: Always be Ascending their Aspirations.
Maybe stage 1 they walk away with a business they love. Stage 2, they build to a million. Stage 3, they expand to a motherfreakin empire.
And with each stage, you've got your courses or programs to help them. Or a different level of your membership.
So evergreen is not really evergreen. It's actually:
- broken down into cycles or seasonal aspects
- has an ascension plan integrated into it.
