HIT-TRACKS TOP 100 - YEAR 48 - WEEK 21.
Hi everyone. Here are the results of the HTT100+ jury. Our twelve points go to...... Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks. Yes!, their new live version of 'Roundabout' is back on top. And we have more good news for Jon. 'Once Upon A Dream', from their hit album "True" (16 minutes and 31 seconds long), enters as the second highest at number 10. Anouk’s 'Where The Mind Goes', and KADAVAR's 'Regeneration are both up to #2 and 3 respectively. The highest new entry is David Gilmour's 'Sings'. It's the 7th top 10 hit from his album "Luck And Strange". The Beaches, Kingfishr, and Chinese Man all have their first top 10 hit.
The new arrivals include: Alison Krauss & Union Station, Pearl Jam, Voodoo Ramble, Walter Trout, Elbow, and Barbra Streisand. The Reflex, Brian Tappert, and JJ, the winner of Eurovision Song Contest 2025, are all in our list for the very first time.
With their seventh studio album, Berlin-based band KADAVAR catapult their sound into new dimensions. Inspired by a quote from their bassist Simon 'Dragon' Bouteloup, "I just Want To Be A Sound", they create a manifesto for freedom, transformation, and radical presence. No Concepts, no boundaries: the album is a musical ritual of transition, moving seamlessly between rock anthems, ballads, and epic moments, always full of momentum and change. Supported by producer Max Rieger and joined by guitarist Jascha Kreft, Kadavar celebrate the eternal transformation of the "Eternal Now". A soundtrack for the contradictions of the times, leaving behind everything that is not music, powerful vulnerable, and always ready for a new beginning. It is a love letter to the moment, to Berlin, and to life itself, filled with love, loss, scars, and the bittersweet feeling of transience. Kadavar invite us to let go and become one: with music, with the now, with the sound. ALBUM OF THE WEEK!!
"In The Heart Of The City" is the 4th album of Croatian blues/rock band Voodoo Ramble featuring Boris Zamba (guitar, bass, vocals), Damir Šomen (drums), Neven Resnik (keyboards), and Ana Cakovic & Ana-Maria Ocvirk (backing vocals). Special guests are Muddy Manninen (Wishbone Ash), British blues legend Mick Pini and Marcus Flynn (The Guitar Legends/ 10cc/ Mike & The Mechanics/Fun Lovin Criminals). The album is mixed and produced by Dragutin Smokrovic-Smokva aka "The Fig". Six songs are written by Boris Zamba and Pete Feenstra. The other 4 by Zamba. Highly recommended as well.
Check also the new albums of Alison Krauss & Union Station (Arcadia), Turnpike Troubadours (The Price Of Admission), and Morgan Wallen (I'm The Problem). Next week we expect the new albums of Green Day (Saviors Deluxe), Reverend Freakchild (A Bluesman Of Sorts), Skunk Anansie (The Painful Truth), Sparks (Mad!), and Taj Mahal & Keb' Mo' (TajMo). Enjoy the music and have a great week!
