💡 Why Shared Values Are Important for Your Team 💡
Clear and shared values are key to a strong team. They help everyone understand how to treat each other and set the tone for good collaboration.
You can create these values together in a special session or during a team retrospective. Try answering these two questions:
- What’s important to you when working with others?
- How should your team work together to succeed?
But why is clarifying values important? When a team creates values and rules together, it makes sure everyone is on the same page about how to interact. This gives your team clear guidelines for working together effectively.
A key factor here is psychological safety – a trusting environment where team members feel comfortable sharing their thoughts without fear of judgment or negative reactions.
