Matte, semi-gloss or high gloss? The right label finish does not only change the look of your product. It also affects readability, perceived quality and how the label performs under different light conditions.

Clean, glare-resistant and understated. A good choice for a natural, premium or eco-inspired look, especially when readability matters under spotlights or from different angles.

◐ Semi-gloss
The practical middle ground. More visual pop than matte, less reflection than high gloss. Ideal when you want a balanced, vivid and professional appearance.

✨ High gloss

DTM Paper High Gloss vs. DTM Paper High Gloss Non-Permanent

Sounds like a small detail – but in real-world labeling it’s often the difference between “stays perfectly in place” and “fails in use.”

Which one is for what?
✅ Non-permanent: promo price labels, limited drops, event stickers, temporary marking, returnable/reusable boxes (when you need clean removal)
✅ Permanent: anything that must hold long-term (handling, shipping, storage, longer campaigns)

10-second decision guide:
• Removes cleanly = Non-permanent
• Must stay on = Permanent

Keep shelf live in mind!
For DTM Paper High Gloss non-permanent, the shelf life is shorter than most other materials.
The label is intended for shorter on-product dwell time, and the material should be used within 6 months after purchase (many other materials are specified with ~2 years).

Tell us what you’re labelling (cardboard, plastic, coated surfaces, etc.) and whether it’s stored cold — and we’ll recommend the right option for your use case.
