🌊 When change at work isn't something you chose, how do you respond?
As your career grows, you will encounter situations that you may not be fully prepared for. A teammate you relied on moves on. A project lands on your plate that you didn't ask for and don't particularly want. A process you were good at gets overhauled.
❓This can be especially challenging for those who are past the early learning curve but are not yet at a point where they can simply delegate or reframe everything from the top. But what can one do when faced with change?
🚵 The first step is to separate what you can influence from what you can't. It can feel comforting to be in our feelings, but being able to move on requires acknowledging that things cannot always stay the same. Once you can do this, you can reframe these changes into opportunities for growth. A task you dislike still develops a skill. A gap left by someone's exit still opens ownership.
🪴 What results from this is a person who is mature, grounded, and focused on what matters most.
🌱 At INVENSITY, we aim to always adapt to the changing needs of our clients and colleagues. Meeting them where they are allows us to understand them at a deeper level, and more importantly, set them up for success in highly complex environments.
