Full Depth Reclamation on Route 32, Mississippi: Wirtgen WR 250i & Hamm Rollers in action
The State Route 32 needed a long-term solution. The original road wasn’t built to carry the daily traffic it now receives. Road Worx, Inc. completed a full depth reclamation (FDR) project to stabilize the base and extend the road’s lifespan.

To complete this job, the crew used a Wirtgen WR 250i, a Hamm HD 12i, and a Hamm HD 10i. The FDR process reuses existing material and combines it with cement to rebuild the base layer. It eliminates the need for hauling in new material and shortens project time.
The WR 250i offers user-friendly operation with side-shift cab, camera systems, and adjustable water spray. Operators highlight its maneuverability and safety tools, especially useful on narrow Mississippi roads.
For compaction, Hamm vibratory rollers delivered high-density results at depths of 9 to 10 inches.
