In may 2019, the Space Technology Center at Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) contracted Space Inventor to design and manufacture a pair of large double deployable solar arrays for the advanced CTIM mission. The solar arrays will provide 80 W of power for the spacecraft, which will demonstrate the feasibility of measuring TSI (Total Solar irradiance) with a 6U CubeSat. Last week, the CTIM satellite was successfully deployed by Virgin Orbit's LauncherOne, and we can’t wait for more news about this mission.

The CTIM satellite project is part of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s CubeSat Launch Initiative.

Space Inventor to launch new logo and website

The last seven years have been phenomenal for Space Inventor and we are proud of everything we have accomplished as a satellite manufacturer. In 2022, we will keep expanding on this success and we want our brand to reflect the continuous improvement we apply to our satellite avionics as well as enhance our focus on full-scale satellite solutions.

With this in mind, we have tweaked the cat mascot making it look like a star constellation to mark our evolution as a satellite manufacturer and to allow us to enter this next exciting era of Space Inventor with confidence and courage.

To further build on this new era we have launched our new website, go take a look: www.space-inventor.com

Microsatellites are in high demand for specialized missions with a focus on performance, short delivery time as well as reliability, and reasonable budget. Space Inventor has concentrated their efforts towards supplying tailored high-performance micro and mini class satellite buses building on a common platform.
Space Inventor’s Head of Public Relations Astrid Kjeldal will take part in a free webinar run by satsearch on February 16th, where she will be presenting our modular and scalable microsatellite platform.

A little while ago, Space Inventor had the pleasure of welcoming NBSPACE to our office in Aalborg for a training session and further discussion of the development of KnackSat II.
Space Inventor successfully provided an intensive and comprehensive space technology transfer to both Space Inventor (Thailand) and NBSPACE in order to uncover principles and know-how of advanced satellite system design.
Space Inventor has supplied NBSPACE with subsystems to the KNACKSAT II project led by NBSpace:

“We would like to thank Space Inventor for the reliable small satellite development that satisfied NBSPACE’s requirements for our space missions. In addition, we would like to thank Space Inventor for the kind collaboration and partnership, aiming towards providing the best satellite products and services in Southeast asia” (NBSpace)

The visit also offered the opportunity to meet with our academia partner in space technology, Professor Jens Dalsgaard Nielsen at the Faculty of Engineering at Aalborg University. This led to the discussion of an academic collaboration between Aalborg University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), with the Dean of Faculty of Engineering, executives and Director of in order to develop future joint programs in space engineering for Thai and Danish students.
Space Inventor is now ready for the next step of the KNACKSAT II project, designing the entire platform with deployable solar panels.

Space inventor has been selected as one of the 10 most innovative SpaceTech startups in 2021 by StartUs Insights!

We are happy to be recognized for our modular and scalable satellite platform; This platform facilitates a bigger range of satellite sizes to maintain high reliability, low cost, and quick delivery of nano- and microsatellites.
Each function in the bus is contained in its own module with very simple interfaces, which is the same interface found in all of Space Inventor’s modules. The module philosophy ensures each module has its own thermal management, radiation shielding, power conditioning, and command and telemetry handling. Our highly iterative development process secures an easy and safe integration procedure and provides the opportunity for module interchangeability.

Space Inventor’s scalable platform accommodates satellites from 10 - 150 kg suitable for both Low Earth Orbit and Geostationary Orbit.

What a great way to start the new year! 🚀

This week, Space Inventor launched the year of 2022 with five new employees ranging from project leaders, system engineers to satellite control engineers! This is a great leap for Space Inventor which now has 250+ years of experience in the space industry, four geographical locations, and a brand new business strategy!

This year is going to break records; launching 7 satellites into space and with this new expansion, we will keep inventing new solutions while managing our numerous microsatellite projects.

Next month, we will bring a similar announcement with at least two engineers beginning their Space Inventor journey.
