There’s something very easy about spending time in Marseille. Days tend to revolve around food, the sea, and being outside, with plenty of time in between for wandering around without much of a plan. A morning at the market can turn into lunch, which can turn into a swim, which can turn into a drink by the water.
It’s a city with a lot of character, and one we’ve always loved for its mix of old favourites and new places. This guide brings together some of the restaurants, cafés, shops, bars, and beaches we’ve enjoyed most.
