Across three independent cohorts social isolation tracked more consistently with suPAR than with CRP or IL-6 — suPAR was the signal that held up. In one of those cohorts, hospitalised patients living alone had a median suPAR of 5.2 ng/mL, compared with 4.2 in those who weren’t isolated.
Connection is measurable. So is the absence of it.
