Simula Hulyo 1,2026 pansamantalang ititigil muna ang pagproseso ng Philippine Embassy in The Netherlands ang mga bagong kontrata ng mga Filipino na nais maging Aupair sa Netherlands.

Ang hakbang ng embahada na ito ay bunsod sa dumarami ng reklamo at kaso ng umano’y sobra sa oras na pagtrabaho,mababang allowance, at hindi magandang pagtrato sa ilang aupair bilang regular na kasambahay o full-time na babysitter, taliwas sa layunin ng programa bilang isang cultural exchange.

Pansamantala muna itigil ang pagtanggap sa mga aplikante habang isinasagawa ang imbestigasyon at pagbuo ng mas matibay na mekanismo upang maprotektahan ang kapakanan at karapatan ng mga Pilipinong aupair.

Pinaalalahanan Embahada ang mga aupair at host na ang aupair program ay isang cultural exchange at pagkatuto ng kultura ng host country, at hindi dapat gamitin bilang kapalit ng regular na domestic work.

Samantala,umani naman ng ibat-ibang reaksyon sa social media ang nasabing ulat.

May ilan na umalma at sinisisi ang mga aupair na tumatakas sa kanilang mga host family ilang buwan nakalipas ng sila ay dumating sa bansa.

Anila,hindi rin makatarungan ang ginagawa ng ilang Aupair na takasan ang kanilang mga host matapos magbayad ng kanilang aplikasyon sa mga agency para makapunta sa The Netherlands.

Mayroon naman nagsabi na tama ang ginawa ng Embahada na ipatigil muna at gumawa ng hakbamg para sa proteksyon ng mga pinapadalang Aupair.

Dahil sa usapin ng pang-aabuso,isa mismo ang MCVO Media Netherlands ang nilapitan ng ilang Aupair na bukod sa sobra-sobrang oras ng pagtatrabaho ay hindi pa umano sila nakakatanggap ng sweldo na umabot ng tatlo hanggang apa't na buwan. - via Founder Bhong David

A report by Deloitte and Danish think tank Kraka Economics studied immigrants' position in Denmark's labour market using data from 2008 to 2023, plotting them on a graph with the help of a decile-based classification system.

The findings reveal that immigrants are heavily concentrated in the lowest income brackets, although geography skews their distribution up the ladder over the years.

While MENAPT immigrants are overrepresented in the bottom four deciles throughout the time period examined, non-EEA immigrants rise to the upper deciles with higher pay over time despite starting out in lower-paid jobs like their MENAPT counterparts.
