Zacco was at DHL Stafetten København last week, and what a great evening! Thanks once again to the organisers for another great event.

The DHL Relay Race is a mainstay of the Copenhagen corporate calendar, with over 150,000 participants across the walking and the running route. We were 18 people in total this year, running, walking and cheering in teams, with a group of us walking a separate route from the runners.

Well done to the 150,000 who took part, and thanks for creating such a positive atmosphere. We all had a great time, and some in the office are already planning next year’s event...

Highlighting Pride Month is part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive culture in the workplace and beyond, whether it’s with the LGBTQ+ community or anyone facing unfair treatment.

Our Group HR Director Nicola Edwards recently shared some thoughts on the steps we’re taking to build an environment where we feel comfortable showing up for the people around us. This includes a recent company-wide "lunch and learn" with Ivannia Liljebäck Hult about what Allyship looks like in practice and how we can all contribute in our everyday lives.

More rankings are coming in at this time of the year and Zacco has been recognised in two categories in the Financial Times’ annual ranking of Europe’s Leading Patent Law Firms. We were awarded a bronze medal for our industrial expertise in Electrical Engineering & Physics as well as a bronze medal for excellence in the area of Mechanical Engineering.

The evaluation covers 222 patent law firms, and results are based on a peer-to-peer online survey of patent attorneys working in patent law firms and in the patent departments of companies, as well as clients who have consulted or commissioned a patent law firm.

Congratulations to our five Global Leaders Claes Agnvall, Solvår Winnie Finnanger, Thomas Rukin, Lone Prehn and Tone Tangevald-Jensen, recognised this year by the World Trademark Review.

The WTR Global Leaders builds on the research conducted for the annual WTR 1000 list, released in February, and where Zacco achieved Gold in Denmark, Sweden and Norway for Trademark Prosecution, alongside Bronze in the prestigious EUIPO category. This was alongside the 30 of our colleagues who were recognised and ranked individually for their expertise in the development and protection of IP rights.

The WTR Global Leaders ranking is the next step, based entirely on external feedback and nominations from outside of an organisation. They acknowledge the colleagues and individuals who make an impact on the IP community, rethinking how we can use IP and pushing trademarks and designs forward. Thank you to all of the clients, partners and peers who have nominated us.

The latest rankings for the IAM Patent 1000 have been released for 2026 and Zacco has again been ranked Gold for Patent Prosecution in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

This is alongside our Bronze ranking in Germany, and for the first time ever, a bronze ranking in the UK. We’re also excited to share that we have achieved a silver ranking for our work at the EPO, acknowledging Zacco's position among the major players across the continent.

Last, but by no means least, we congratulate the 44 Zacco colleagues recognised and ranked across the entire group, 13 in Denmark, 2 in Germany, 7 in Norway, 19 in Sweden, and 3 in the UK.

The IAM Patent 1000 identifies key strategists, knowledgeable colleagues and the leading firms within patent development, protection and enforcement, and the IAM remains a major guide for expertise across the globe. Last Friday, our patent team in Norway was awarded Norway Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year at the Managing IP Awards in London.
