DESIGN

A look back at the ISOLE collection by TABLEAU x Bloc Studios, soon to be presented at House of Dreams by Movimento Gallery during Art Basel Paris, October 23–25.

Designed by Julius Værnes Iversen and Elsa De Mori, the collection explores the spaces between islands - where water connects rather than separates.

Carved from locally sourced marble and white and green onyx, the pieces move between object and function: vase, planter, side table or sofa table.

Made on demand in various types of stone.

BENCH 2 LEGS by FANGO STUDIO
presented by TABLEAU GALLERY

Designed by Colombian designer Francisco Jaramillo, the Bench explores the relationship between natural materials, local craftsmanship and contemporary form.

Handwoven in Colombia from Yaré, a fast-growing natural fibre traditionally used by Indigenous communities, the bench draws on generations of material knowledge and craftsmanship. Its rhythmic, cylindrical construction transforms the natural fibre into a bold architectural form.

Created by invited artists and creatives for CUPS, a project initiated by TABLEAU for 3daysofdesign, co-curated by Liv Vaisberg and developed in collaboration with Sovino Brands. The project takes its starting point in something simple and universal: the everyday ritual of having coffee.

OUTSIDERS RESIDENCY

CINQUE by Joern von Scheipers.

Developed during his OUTSIDERS residency in Pietrasanta, CINQUE began with a simple repeated action: walking the same route five times a day, pasting posters onto the same walls, again and again.

Each new layer covered what came before, turning repetition into process and the posters into material. What started as a daily gesture gradually became a series of sculptural wall objects - carrying the folds, traces and imperfections of their making.

Paste, paper, repetition.
The first time was an action. The fifth time was proof that the action was real.
