Launching during CHART and Enter Art Fair, TACTUS presents its inaugural Artist Edition 001: Wool Hunter of Gotland by British artist Jon Pilkington, reimagined as a limited-edition art puzzle. An invitation to experience contemporary art through touch, time and participation.

To celebrate the launch of the handmade musical furniture we are celebrating by having a listening space and Installation at TABLEAU GALLERY in Copenhagen this week.

Guest are welcome to come and try the turntable and sit and listen for a moment.

The intimate space is created and collaboration with YONT using paint and elements from Farrow & Ball and our beautiful light system by Dresswall

The handmade furniture is sold through our gallery and made by demand in either white or black.

Introducing OUTSIDERS, Contemporary Residency in Pietrasanta.

Initiated by TABLEAU + LABottega, OUTSIDERS invites artists and designers to develop new work in dialogue with Pietrasanta, its landscape, materials, craftspeople and community.

The residency unfolds between LABottega, a design hotel, restaurant and contemporary art gallery, and La Stellata, an organic farm, artist residency and production space nestled among the olive groves above Pietrasanta.

Our direction begins with listening to a place before making within it. Residents explore local workshops, people, materials and landscapes, creating new relationships and site-specific work along the way.

OUTSIDERS is a meeting point between disciplines, people and ideas, built around curiosity, experimentation and the belief that the most meaningful ideas emerge when different worlds meet.

OUTSIDERS facilitates productions with locals and sales Worldwide.

BLIND DRAWINGS

This week at LABottega we invited children from the local community of Versilia to explore the practice of blind drawings of flowers.

A simple exercise in looking, drawing and letting go - creating relations between the mind, hand and flower, while sharing a collective experience shaped by curiosity, presence and play.

The large textile piece has been organically cut into 8 individual artworks which was given to the children involved. A single piece is left hanging at Camere 1 at LABottega - a design hotel, slow-food restaurant and the home of our gallery and residency in Pietrasanta.

SET IN STONE by Jacob Egeberg for OUTSIDERS

A series of pendant lamps made from stone offcuts collected at workshops in Carrara, letting the cuts, breaks and raw surfaces of the material determine each piece.

Suspended in custom sculptured stainless steel hanging systems making the marble look almost weightless.

Each light can be customized in scale and choice of stone, making every piece unique to its interior.

On view at LABottega till end of September.

OUTSIDERS RESIDENCY is existed to present SET IN STONE by Jacob Mathias Egeberg

Developed during a residency at La Stellata in Pietrasanta, Set in Stone brings new attention to fragments left behind by the local stone industry.

Offcuts are suspended and illuminated as they were found - irregular cuts, broken edges and traces of production left visible. With minimal intervention, each fragment shifts from discarded material to a presence of its own.

Heavy stone appears almost weightless, suspended between gravity and light with a bespoke designed hanging system.

SET IN STONE opens at LABottega on Friday 21st from 18.00.

Introducing two works by jonathan bocca •J• where furniture slips into sculpture and familiar forms become strange, almost bodily presences made in paper pulp.

Built through an intuitive, material-driven process, Bocca’s works embrace irregularity: surfaces remain tactile, structures bend and branch, and function gives way to character. A moss-green table appears grown rather than constructed, while a deep-blue lamp stretches upward like a figure, holding its light within a hollowed form.
