With climate change in focus and agriculture in the spotlight, we're stepping up our sustainability efforts and reporting at Goodvalley. Our field-to-fork approach, along with a long history of monitoring our impact—including our carbon footprint—positions us strongly for the future. We're dedicated to producing high-quality meat with fewer resources and a lighter environmental footprint.
In 2023, we made significant progress by calculating our carbon footprint per kilo of meat using a Life Cycle Assessment—an important milestone in our sustainability journey.

GlobalG.A.P. is an international certification system created in Europe to ensure the safe food production. This is a flexible standard that can be used in various industries and adapted to local conditions. The needs of the client or the end consumer are taken into account as much as possible when developing standards and norms.
GlobalG.A.P certification in animal production covers various aspects, such as the use of feed, transportation, and animal welfare. Feed is crucial in production as it has a significant impact on animal health and welfare. The GlobalG.A.P. obliges producers to use only certified feed of the highest safety standards and quality. In addition, great attention is paid to the social aspect: to ensure the health and well-being of workers in the industry, as well as environmental protection.
Goodvalley Ukraine's pig production department has been certified by GlobalG.A.P. every year since 2018, with a confirmed high level of its production.

We are very pleased to present Goodvalley Group Annual Report 2020, which was announced last week.
Below is highlighted a few points, that we can be very proud of:
✅Revenue at DKK 1,463
✅Adjusted EBITDA at DKK 316 million
✅Branded products came to 2,441 tonnes and are available in more than 12,000 stores across Poland. The next target for 2021 will be 15 000.👌
✅Efficiency is record high in pig production Ukraine and is increasing steadily in all countries.
It is a very pleasant moment indeed, taking into consideration a challenging year for us and the industry in general.

We have an exciting news! Our founder Tom Axelgaaard was appointed Honorary Consul for Ukraine in Outrup with jurisdiction over the Region of Southern Denmark. 🇺🇦🇩🇰

🇬🇧 On 30 November, Ambassador of Ukraine to Denmark Mykhailo Vydoinyk on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine signed an Agreement with Danish citizen Tom Axelgaard on consular functions and official duties of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Outrup.
According to a Letter of Commission issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on 22 October Tom Axelgaard is appointed Honorary Consul for Ukraine in Outrup with jurisdiction over the Region of Southern Denmark. The exequatur for its activities was approved by the Royal Decree of 17 November and signed by the Head of the Protocol of the Kingdom of Denmark on 24 November.
According to the Agreement, the main official duties of the Honorary Consul will be, in particular, to protect, in accordance with international law, the interests of Ukraine, of legal entities and citizens of Ukraine within the consular district of the Region of Southern Denmark, to assist and to help citizens of Ukraine, and legal entities of Ukraine on the territory of Denmark, as well as to promote the development of trade, economic, cultural and scientific ties between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Denmark, and the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
During the ceremony, Tom Axelgaard said: “The future can be very bright for Ukraine, which is such a fantastic country. I will certainly do my best to promote that both in Denmark and in Ukraine”. Ambassador Vydoinyk expressed hope that the activities of the new Honorary Consul would give an additional impetus to the further development of Ukrainian-Danish cooperation, in particular in trade and investment, and would also contribute to “expanding the circle of friends of Ukraine”.
