Competent action:
We have been talking about diversity, equity & inclusion for the last 20 years. Although Denmark is also behind in many ways. DEI work is long and short term competent ex*****on of diversity strategies.
To be competent in this field is also to act in recognising that we do not have all the answers ourselves. Because part of this change work is to include and enable perspectives and approaches that challenge our own. The good pain.
This is something you cannot just tick of with an unconscious bias workshop. This is about strategically living the good pain. The good pain is when we challenge business as usual - regardless if it is in team work, feedback culture, recruiting, onboarding, innovation or management - and challenge ourselves by engaging other perspectives and empowering the people who bring them - this is when we experience that the outcome is stronger and the feeling of ownership and belonging in the organisation deepen and we grow - not just economically but just as important - ethically and socially.
