Here’s another proposal which Kasia Stachura / .kasia and I submitted for the former Odense University Hospital Quarter.
In this idea we propose a radical approach to transformation on the OUH site, where the existing system of underground tunnels of the hospital becomes The Living Archive. A physical-digital place where all the building materials from the site get catalogued and stored, for future use. Visitors can come to the site and explore the underground tunnels, as if they were going around an IKEA shop. And on the digital site, all the components are equipped with a QR code describing their origin, age, material and all other relevant information.
