🎉 ICF is turning 30 this year—and wow, what a ride it’s been! I’ve been part of this amazing community for 18 of those years, and it still feels like a second home. So much of who I am today—as a coach, leader, and person—has been shaped by the people I’ve met, the experiences I’ve had, and the sense of belonging I’ve felt here. It’s been full of growth, friendship, and inspiration.
To celebrate this milestone, we're inviting you—our fellow ICF Denmark members—to share your own story. What brought you to ICF? What has it given you? Submit your story here and be part of our collective celebration: https://form.jotform.com/250714014357349 💙

🗨 Why ICF?
I joined ICF in 2007 just a few months after becoming a coach. At the time, I was living in Hungary and looking for a professional organization that upheld high standards, represented coaching professionals globally, and offered quality education and events. That’s how I found ICF.
When I signed up online, I discovered there was no local chapter in Hungary. With support from ICF Global, I took the initiative to establish ICF Hungary. Within three years, we grew from 4 to over 100 members, launching a range of projects, services, events, and communities to benefit our members and stakeholders.
After serving for eight years on the ICF Hungary board and at the EMEA level—I took a break to simply enjoy being a member. After moving to Denmark three years ago, I became involved with ICF Denmark. In January 2024, I joined the local board and am honored to serve as president for 2025–26.
I’m genuinely excited about this role and our dynamic team. It doesn’t feel like repetition—leading a diverse and committed board in a Scandinavian context is giving me new leadership experiences, and I find myself learning something new every day. I hope we’ll make a meaningful difference for our members and the coaching community across the country. .
💡 How has ICF shaped you?
ICF has been central to my development as a coach, volunteer, and leader. The credentialing journey led me to earn my MCC and ACTC. Our education program became one of the first in Hungary to be ICF-accredited. I was honoured to receive the ICF President’s Award in 2012 for my contributions to the global coaching profession. The network has also brought me meaningful friendships and exciting business opportunities.
🧭 One tip for new coaches:
Lean into the network—connect with others, keep learning, and stay active in the community, locally and globally.

🔮 The future of coaching?
Coaching will become more integrated, inclusive, and tech-enabled. The 2023 ICF Global Coaching Study shows rapid growth:
📈 Coach practitioners up 54% since 2019 (now 109,200)
💰 Annual revenue up 60%, reaching $4.564 billion
We’ll see broader access to coaching, more team coaching, and deeper integration of AI. ICF will continue leading the way—setting ethical standards, supporting credentialing, and fostering research-backed practices.
ICF’s leadership will ensure our profession remains ethical, impactful, and globally relevant.
