Whether you’d like locker doors with thick or thin frames, raised frames or flush frames, finger holes or latches, then what type of latches would you like? Do you need a chart table?

Chart tables are often a major discussion point with our owners. At Faurby, you choose the size, style, orientation, and location of your navigation station – and you also decide whether you want one at all.

With electronic navigation available at the helm and anywhere on board via tablet or laptop, plus a large, flat saloon table, we often ask whether a dedicated chart table is really necessary. While that might sound like heresy to some, everyone has their own way of navigating, and as long as you get where you’re going, we’re happy to create a navigation station that works for you.

If you have a fine collection of full-size charts, you may want a chart table large enough to examine a folded Admiralty chart. If you’re where chart folios are smaller, your table can be more compact. You may want a wide table to accommodate charts and pilot books, or a narrower table for using a laptop. You might prefer your nav station to be incorporated into a separate office space where you can work and reply to emails uninterrupted, or you may be perfectly happy doing all this at the saloon table.

We have built all kinds of chart tables – from concealed switch panels, simple standing stations for checking charts while sailing, to fully dedicated navigation areas with integrated computer systems.

We're at the Ancora Yachtfestival
Germany's largest on-water boat show.

On display, we have two deck saloon yachts, both of which offer all lines led to the helm, a raised saloon, and 360-degree views from the saloon or the cockpit. Our smallest, the Faurby 360 DS, with a displacement of just 6,500kg (14,330lbs), is a delight to sail and doesn't compromise on comfort. We also have her larger sister, the Faurby 420 DS. The 420 DS provides owners with a full-beam en suite aft cabin, as well as a spacious forward double, separate heads, an upper and lower saloon, and a generously sized galley, too.

If you're drawn more to performance than 360-degree views, you're in luck; we have a Faurby 420 Performance Cruiser here. Like all Faurby yachts, the interior layout, style and proportions can be tailored to you. Need longer berths, a larger heads, or a more generous galley? We can do all this and more.

Thank you to all the who came to Boat Show Denmark at the weekend. It was great to see so much interest in our yachts and Faurby.

We’re now preparing for our next boat show, this time in Neustadt, Germany for the fabulous Ancora Yachtfestival

Germany’s largest in-water show opens this Friday and has over 170 yachts and boats to look at. It runs from this Friday, 8 May, until Sunday, 10 May.

We’ll be exhibiting two deck saloon models: the 360 DS and 420 DS, and we’ll have a 420 Performance Cruiser on show too.

We’ll also have our knowledgeable and experienced team on hand to show you around these three yachts, as well as answer any questions about any of the yachts in our Deck Saloon or Performance Cruiser range.

It's now just one day to go until Boat Show Denmark, and our first boat show of this year!

The show is at Marina Fredericia, and the marina is not open to visiting yachts this weekend. If you're planning to visit by boat, there is a free shuttle boat service from Fredericia Old Harbour.

Alternatively, public transport is available from the other nearby harbours in Lillebælt.

If you're visiting over the weekend, please drop by and say hello. We're next to the champagne bar in the north of the harbour, and we'll be at the show daily from 1000-1800

At Faurby, we say "anything is possible," and as custom and semi-custom boat builders, we have the skills and expertise to back that up. If there is a way you'd like to change your yacht's design or add a feature, we are happy to make it possible.

On this 500 DS, the owner had many requests, and we've been delighted to fulfil them, bringing their ideas to life. In this video, we see how their idea of an al fresco kitchen/grill led to a custom-designed transom and the construction of a new transom mould.
