Impact Connectors | Year-End Reflection

As we approach the close of 2025, we do so with deep gratitude for a year marked by meaningful collaborations, trusted partnerships, and continued engagement from both new and returning clients.

This past year took us across boardrooms, policy dialogues, business seminars, strategy sessions and cross-regional events, all centred on advancing responsible, future-oriented collaboration between the Nordics and Southern African markets.

2025 has been a year of growth, evolution and renewed purpose. The momentum we’ve built together culminated in an important milestone: the transition from Afrika Consultancy to Impact Connectors, a name that more accurately reflects who we are, the work we do, and the impact we are committed to creating across regions.

We were also privileged to close the year at the Nordic–Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. A powerful reminder of the scale of opportunity and dialogue shaping the Nordic–Africa agenda.
With this post, we are pleased to share a few pictures capturing the energy and spirit of that final event of 2025.

As we step into 2026, our focus remains clear: to deepen existing relationships, build new strategic partnerships, and continue bridging the Nordics and wider Northern Europe with Southern Africa, in ways that are sustainable, credible and commercially meaningful.

👉If you are an organisation, investor, institution or innovator exploring collaboration, market entry or impact-aligned growth across these regions in 2026, we would welcome the conversation. Let’s build what’s next, together.

Thank you for being part of the journey. We look forward to co-creating, partnering and delivering impact in 2026 and beyond.

🎄With compliments of the season🎄

🌍 Strengthening Africa–Nordic Partnerships | Danish Business Delegation to Zimbabwe.

A week ago (3 October), the 22nd Africa–Nordic Foreign Ministers’ Meeting concluded in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, bringing together leaders under the theme “Leveraging Technology and Collaboration for Future-Ready Societies.”

The meeting reaffirmed shared commitments to innovation, sustainable development, and stronger trade and investment relations between the two regions.

In the days leading up to the event, Afrika Consultancy led a Danish Business Delegation in Harare, organised in partnership with the Danish Agriculture and Food Council and , aligning business engagement with the high-level policy dialogue that followed in Victoria Falls.

At the ministerial level, the Danish State Secretary for Foreign Policy, Lotte Machon , led the Danish delegation and represented the Minister in the discussion on framework conditions for trade and investment in Africa at the amazing Lookout Café in Victoria Falls.

Afrika Consultancy was honoured to contribute alongside Danish business delegates, Zimbabwean business leaders,
🇩🇰 Ambassador Karin Poulsen (Danish Ambassador to Zimbabwe and Southern Africa)
and Ketil Karlsen (Africa Director, Danish MFA).

It was inspiring to see how policy-level cooperation and private sector engagement can reinforce each other when built on mutual respect, innovation, and shared goals.

For Afrika Consultancy, this is a continuation of a long-term, sustainable partnership platform connecting Nordic and Southern & Eastern African businesses — turning conversations into measurable collaboration and impact.

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US!
Reflections & Highlights from our event - “Unlocking Investment Potential & Strengthening Nordic–Southern African Business Partnerships” – 12 June 2025 at EIFO.

Held as a prelude to the Nordic–Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Victoria Falls this October, yesterday’s gathering was more than an event—it was a convergence of minds, markets, and momentum.

We welcomed visionary voices from Denmark, Zimbabwe, Angola and beyond to ignite bold dialogue on doing business in Southern Africa.

💡 Key takeaways:
🔹 Zimbabwe is open for business. Supa Collins Mandiwanzira emphasized the time to invest is now, backed by protections, skilled labour, and strategic access. His video on Nyanga revealed both stunning tourism appeal and real sector opportunities.

🔹 Ideas to Impact. Alun Hart shared how Navaco became Zimbabwe’s largest avocado processor—from concept to execution—with 60% female staff and purpose-driven growth.
🔹 Henrik Wollesen (Engsko A/S) spoke on how local manufacturing and skilled Zimbabwean labour power their global operations.
🔹Ole Haubro (Aller Aqua) reminded us that local partnerships, swift decisions, and community reinvestment are key to scaling aquaculture in Africa.
🔹 Sérgio E. de L. Ferreira joined us from Angola, sharing reflections as someone who studied in Denmark and returned to Angola to build inclusive solutions that merge Nordic standards with African ambition.

With gratitude to:
✅ Our speakers & panelists: Supa Collins Mandiwanzira, Alun Hart, Henrik Wollesen, Ole Haubro & Sergio Ferreira
✅ Moderator Tichaona Maphosa for your skilled guidance and CHARLES KINGA®™ for your support
✅ Portia Ngundu & the Zimbabwean Embassy, Sweden for your continued partnership
✅ The Embassies of Ghana & Tanzania for your presence
✅ EIFO & Access2innovation for the partnership
✅ And to everyone who joined us - you made this impactful!

With over 300 million consumers in SADC, Southern Africa offers a mosaic of opportunity-rich ecosystems, from food security to tech innovation.

There was a clear sense in the room that together, we can move mountains. As Portia Ngundu noted, “It’s time. It’s no longer business as usual - it’s about building sustainable business partnerships.”

And as Florence Charamba of Afrika Consultancy concluded:
“Let’s continue turning dialogue into partnership and potential into action.”
Eva Steinhorst
Mette Skindhøj Johnson Thomas Augustinus - thank you for the co-creation.

🌍 On Friday, 4 October, Afrika Consultancy was thrilled to attend and lead the Q & A session at the inaugural Nordic-Africa Women's Health Forum, organized by female African ambassadors in Sweden and co-hosted by Ferring Pharmaceuticals.

On 16 September 2024, we were thrilled to connect African Touch, a Copenhagen-based shop selling African-made accessories and décor, with the Connecting Women in Business (Co-WIB) network in Mutare, Zimbabwe🙏🏽.

Co-WIB is a platform linking women entrepreneurs in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the Nordics, with a focus on design and agribusiness. The Co-WIB network is growing, and we’re calling on more Nordic businesses, investors, and female entrepreneurs to partner with or support women in business from our focus markets—South Africa and Zimbabwe.
